In the morning I woke up to Jeff sleeping on my floor. He found me on the road and picked me up and brought my home. He was so nice but I couldn't tell him what happened. I couldn't tell him about the text messages. I walked to him and pushed him not too hard.

"Jeff," I whispered, "Jeff. Are we practicing today?"

"Yeah" he yawned and streched out his body. He looked at me with his gorgeous blue eyes and smiled. "Today is our first day at school." he noted "We are just going to be running in practice though."  We were out the door in five minutes and were running through the woods.  "Our first day?" I asked between breaths.  he nodded, "Yes, our first day. My job is to protect you whether it is in school or out." I let out a scream making sure he knew I wasnt good with the plan.

"Don't worry, I wont be following you everywhere. I actually am going to be watching from a distance." I looked at him confused and he laughed. "I got a job at the school so I am undetected and can still watch you"

"Are you going to teach? What are you going to do?" I asked him.

"I am going to be the gym teacher" I let out a laugh and he laughed too. "It is time for us to get ready for school, we must go."

....

I walked into the office and was greeted by a sweet old women."Oh! You must be Chris! Welcome to Yanster High." I smiled and nodded.

"Hi," I replied. The women had short grey hair and looked so kind and sweet. Her hands kept shaking and I was suprised that she could hold anything. " I will have someone help you around school in a minute. He is just doing something for me right now." I frowned and argued, "I don't need any help, all I need is a list of my classes and I should be fine, but thank you." She tried arguing but  someone behind me started talking.

"Ms. Hay, she said it herself, she doesn't need my help" I turned around to see a boy about my age. He was a little bit taller than me. He had blonde hair and wore a big smile. I smiled back and he took out his hand and shook mine. "Im Alex." His eyes turned bright green and I wwas about to get lost in them until he asked my name. "Chris" I replied.

Ms. Hay handed him a peice of paper and he studied it "So, your first class is English and lucky for you I have that class." I rolled my eyes and laughed. "I can find my way there, thank you though" I grabbed the paper from Alex and started walking out the door and into the hallway.

People swamred the hallway, talking and laughing. I was lost. I heard a laugh behind me and saw Alex. "You sure you know where you are going?" He took my hand and just held it. I looked down at them and pulled my hand away."Yes I am sure." I tried walking away but he grabbed my hand again and whispered in my ear. "English is the other way" His smile never left his face and he pulled me towards class. I looked around hoping I would find my other classes so i wouldn't need Alex's help again. I saw History and math class but then saw a big window before the gym. Jeff stared at me through it. He looked worried and upset. "Its okay" I mouthed to him and he nodded not breaking his stare.

"Here is English class!" Alex announced. "Thanks," I replied taking a seat. He sat in front of me and turned so he could talk to me. "Where are you from?" He asked. "Not that far" i answered plainly avoiding getting into detail. This place hadn't had any idea about my mothers murder and everything that came with it. He paused for a minute and started talking again.

"You want to sit wth me and some friends at lunch? You don't have to, I just figured you might want to make some friends and I am the only person you know so far and-"

"Mr. Par are you done talking to the new girl?" The teacher walked in and asked Alex. Everyone looked at us and i immediatly turned red. "I-I was just helping her around." Alex tried explaining.

"Save it, Class is starting" the teacher growled.

For the rest of class I spaced out, forgetting about what the teacher was saying. The class was slow an when I did listen I realised it was things I already knew. Thankfully the bell rang right when i was about to fall to sleep. "Okay, class tomarrow you will be picking up a certain book called Romeo and Juliet. We will be reading it and gathering in groups. Class dismissed." I quickly grabbed my things and ran out the door. Next, I had gym. I would be seeing Jeff.

I went to the locker room and got changed into shorts and a t- shirts. I ran my hands through my hair and placed it in a pony tail. I left the locker room and found that most people were still getting changed. The gym was big  but had only four people in it. A skinny red head girl, a muscular guy, Jeff and I. Jeff called me over to him and I obeyed. The other two were making out so Jeff didn't whisper much.

"Who is he?" Jeff asked with a little anger in his voice. It sounded like jelousy but I quickly came up with the idea that i was imagining it and brushed it off. "Wow, you get staright to the point, don't you?" I asked him. He took a breath and calmly said, "I need to make sure you are okay. Who is he?" He looked me straight in the eyes. "He is just some guy showing me around. His name is Alex, he seems harmless." He smiled at my thought and replied "No one is what they seem. I need to know that you are safe. I don't know what I would do if you got hurt." Those words sent shivers down my body and i stared into his eyes. Inside them, I saw sincerety and truth. Right then I knew, I wanted him, I had feelings for a police officer, but I knew it could never be.
