I woke up and all I could hear was yelling.  I got worried and I ran upstairs. my parents were arguing. I looked in my mom's room.  "mom. dad. What's wrong?" "Mariah go back downstairs." "but-" "MARIAH GO BACK DOWNSTAIRS NOW!" I got tears and ran to my room. I threw on some clothes and shoes and went downstairs. I woke up Harley. "Harley, Harley wake up now." she woke up and saw my crying. "Mariah what's wrong?" "my parents. grab your clothes we have to go." "Okay." she ran upstairs and grabbed her clothes. we grabbed our phones and left.

~Harleys pov~

Mariah woke me up crying. I was worried. I tried to ask her what's wrong and she just said her parents and to get my clothes. ran upstairs and got them. we ran outside and started walking fast. I wonder where we're going.

we stopped at Harleys house and she dropped off her clothes. we walked to Starbucks. we got in and sat down at a table and started talking. "Mariah. What was going on with your parents?" "I I don't know. I woke up and heard them arguing and I went upstairs and my mom told me to go downstairs." "Oh. I'm soooo sorry." I slightly smiled. "It's okay." "Hey did that guy text you?" "Yes. last night. he called me beautiful to." "for real!?" "Yes. speak of the devil." I pointed to Josh who was walking in line. "great." "seriously." He got his coffee and saw us. damn. he walked towards us. "Hey." "Hey." we both said. "What's up?" "Oh um nothing really. we just got here." "cool. same here to. What you wanna do?" "um we could go walk or something." "but we're going to get coffee first." "Haha Harley. but yeah so we'll be right back."

~Josh' s pov~

I came to Starbucks to get coffee and I saw the girls here. I walked towards them and started to talk. "Hey." "Hey." they both said. "What's up?" "Oh um nothing really. we just got here." "cool. same here. What you wanna do?" "um we could walk or something" "but we're getting coffee first." "Haha Harley. but yeah so we'll be right back." they got up and walked to the line. I called my friend Dillon.

M: Hey man. get your ass down to Starbucks.

D: why?

M: there's these hot girls that I met yesterday. I'll let you have one.

D: um okay. be there in 5.

M: ight.

they came back with coffee and sat down. "Hey my friend Dillon is coming over. so you wanna wait here till he gets here?" "um sure I guess" "okay. he should be here soon." "Okay." we talked a little and he was finally here. "girls this is Dillon, Dillon this is Mariah and that's Harley." "Hi." "Hi" "hey. nice to meet you." "alright let's go."

Dillon looked familiar but I don't know. we walked down the road and talked a bit. they were actually pretty cool. Me and Josh walked by the bay and Dillon walked with Harley around the playground. "So do you wanna see a movie with me later?" "um I'll have to see. it depends." "Oh okay."  we sat down and looked at the water. we talked a little and then it got quiet for about 1 minute. he kept staring at me. "What?" He smiled and shook his head. "What!" "nothing." "Okay?" He stared at me again for a little and then unexpectedly he leaned in and kissed me. I pulled away. "What the hell. Why'd you kiss me?" "well cause it-" "I have a fucking boyfriend. text me when you don't want to kiss me." I ran off and I told Harley to come on. she followed me and we walked towards my house. "Mariah what happened?" "Josh fucking kissed me!" "Are you for real!" "Yes." we walked to my house and I saw my dad with his stuff about to leave. I ran to him. "dad. dad what are you doing?" "I'm going back to Louisiana." "What! No. Why?" "Cause your mother and I just can't get along." "daddy please don't go." "I'm sorry." I started crying and he hugged me really tight. I was crying in his shoulder. he kissed the top of my head. "look. don't cry. I'll be back soon." "No. please. you can't go." He stared at the ground for a second. I turned around and saw Harley walking towards me. "Hey. I'm gonna go home for a second." "Okay." she walked away. "Mariah, how about this. you come to Louisiana with me. stay with me for a while. maybe you could be in a movie with me." I stood there. I didn't know what to do. "but. What about Harley,mom,Austin." "Oh. Well I'll give you until 2:30." "Okay." I hugged him again. I walked over to Harleys house. I knocked on the door. Austin got it. "Hey babe." "Hey. I need Harley." "Oh okay. she's upstairs." j walked upstairs and knocked on her door. she told me to come  in. "Hey. you okay?" "um. my dad asked me a question after you left." "Oh. What was it?" "if I wanted I wanted to come to Louisiana with him." ".....are you?" "He's giving me till 2:30." "do you know what you want to do?" "...that's why I came here. to talk about it." "Well I want you to stay but I want the best for you. which might be for you to go." "are...are you sure?" "Yeah." I hugged her.

I got the door and Mariah was there. she looked upset. she didn't even wanna talk to me. she asked for Harley and I told her she was in her room. I heard the door close and ran upstairs and listened to the conversation. "Hey. you okay?" "um. my dad asked me a question after you left." "Oh. What was it?" "if I wanted to come to Louisiana with him." ".....are you?" "He's giving me until 2:30." "do you know what you want to do?" "…that's why I came here. to talk about it." "Well I want you to stay but I want the best for you. which might be for you to go." "are...are you sure?" "Yeah." I swallowed and left. I went to my room and closed the door. I can't believe she's.....she's going. I started looking out the window when I heard a knock. "come in." "Hey. I need to talk to you." "about?" "my dad asked me a question. he wanted me to come back to Louisiana with him." "Oh. are you?" "He's giving me until 2:30." "Well. I want you to stay but I want you to be happy." "but what about us?" "we can still be together. I mean your not going to live there forever right?" "true. I should be back in a couple weeks." "see. we can still be together. but I want to spend the whole day till 2:30 together. which gives us 4 hours." "Okay!"

I felt better about going and me and Austin spent every second together. we took pictures,walked by the bay, kissed, hugged,went to the ice cream parlor,etc. finally it was time to go. we walked to my house and I went upstairs and he helped me pack. I got done packing and we walked downstairs and my dad,mom,Harley,Robert,and Alex were all standing there. my dad took my bags and I hugged each and everyone of them and said bye. Austin walked me to the car. "I hope you don't find anyone new" "I won't. same for you too." "I won't." "I'll text,call,Facebook,Skype and everything to stay together." "Okay. I will do the same. I love you Mariah." "I love you Austin." we kissed and hugged and he gave me a teddy bear and I got in the car. the last thing I saw was everyone waving bye. Was this the right thing to do?
