BACK TO PRESENT. Well much hasn't changed in five years; I am still unclaimed, which pretty much sucks and I have pretty much lost the hope of getting claimed.

I now know the gods and goddesses better and all the myths (well, I wouldn't say myths). I have also gained a little bit of mastery in combat skills but if Mars is my dad, he's not pleased.

My life changed ten years ago and it took me time to accept it, but now it is all ordinary for me. But this year was a lot weirder than the others; something was going on among the gods since the winter solstice. I only know that something is stolen. But the item has not been clarified or as some say that the item is confidential.

I also started getting these weird dreams lately. In one such dream I was high above in the sky over a beach. The waves were striking against the winds, storm was raging, growing bigger by the second and the waves just like the storm were getting more fierce ... as if they were fighting. But it was like, they were holding themselves back and that this could get much worse. On focusing, I could see two bodylines. But something felt weird about like my mind was deviating as if it's something i'm not supposed to observe.

And then on the shoreline something caught my eye. It was a boy about my age lying on the beach trying to reach out and then my mind simply terminated the dream.

I wondered about the boy for a second but it seemed to take all my willpower so I just got going.

The day was pretty tough for me. We had the war game. The game is pretty simple there are two teams one team has to create a castle and secure a flag inside and the other team has to simply break into the castle and capture the flag.

Mark said "Everyone form ranks."

Mark had been promoted to centurion and led the fifth cohort.

Mark said "Today is a very important day for us. We have been losing straight for the last five years."

The thing is that in a team there is more than one cohort and the team which is supposed to capture the flag, the cohort which takes hold of the flag gets all the glory. So in that way, we have been losing for the last five years.

Mark said "This is the day we show our worth."

I know that he was trying to be optimistic but I couldn't help sulking. We have been losing for the last five years and there is a reason. Everyone thinks we are losers and so they do what is generally done to losers- target them.

Even the members of our cohort have the same thought process and that can only change if someone steps up. Mark is good but we need someone like Captain America to lead us. But that's not to say that he is a bad fighter. Mark is the camp's best archer and musician (though music won't count as a weapon unless you are a siren or an opera singer or Eminem who can hit you with his lyrics). Enough of superheroes, let's get back to the war game. If you wonder how I even know these characters, we are half-bloods not savages .

Mark had to go for a discussion with the leaders of cohort 1 and 2. After the discussion he came back brandishing a forced smile.

He said "Guess what fellas! We are going in first."

"Not again..." cried everyone else.

We were part of the team which had to capture the flag and we had to strike first. In other words we get the full fledged opportunity to be beaten to pulp clearing the way for others.

Alexis and Ashley were judges of the game and were surveying the whole scenario sitting on their Pegasi.

Alexis exclaimed "Let the game begin!"
