Sonic's POV
We arrived yesterday welcomed with laughter and joy. The kids here are so playful. St. John's Orphanage was actually a Christian orphanage owned by Sister Sophia. She's so kind. She's the only one taking care of the kids here and she even treat them like her own. I really idolize her.
"Ate Night, can you play with us?" Kristy, a 6 year old orphan asked Night happily.
"You to Ate Flower! Came join us!!!" Alexa pulled Flower to the group of girls playing dolls by the garden.
"What does Ate mean?" Galaxy questioned the girls. Her hair was being braid by Michelle cause they were playing hair stylist.
"It means big sister here in the Philippines!" Rose shrieked while playing cooks with Mist.
"Oh like Unnie!!!" Bubbles beamed playing Ruby, the orphanages guard dog.
"What's Unnie?" The kids asked in chorus.
"Girls call their older sister Unnie while the boys call them Noona in Korea." Metal explained still playing with Baby Scarlet. The youngest of all the orphans.
"Whoa!!! Can I call you Unnie instead Ate?!"
"Me too!!! Me too!!!"
Metal smiled and nodded to the kids. They beamed happily and played non stop.
"Ate Sonic, why aren't you talking?" Daniel, a 5 year old toddler who was sitting by my lap asked in curiosity.
I was taken aback. I don't know what to do. I can't write on my board nor sign cause I bet he'll never understand me. I looked at Metal and begged for her help.
'Help me here!!!'
"She's not much of a talker Daniel. Come, let's play with the others." Metal took the child from my lap and they went to the group of children who were happily playing.
"You know it's better to come out of your shell from time to time."
I looked questioningly at Sister Sophia who arrived just now. I wrote on my board for her to clarify what she said.
"If you're not comfortable talking then try practicing from time to time. Don't chain yourself from expressing your true feelings. Show the real you." She said and patted my shoulder. Her words kept rewinding in my mine. Show the real me?
She smiled so sweetly at me and I don't know how to respond to her motherly care. "Can you attend the needs of the children upstairs? I've already asked Solar but still the ruckus upstairs haven't stopped. If that's okay with you?" She asked sincerely.
I nodded and walked inside the orphanage. The boys were assigned to clean and renovate the orphanage except for Quake cause he's the one who is cooking dinner. I went upstairs and the ruckus was getting loader.
"Hey you kids!!!! Stop that!!!! Ryan!!!!! Don't jump off the balcony!!!!!" I heard Solar's voice echoed throughout the whole room.
I felt pitiful for his state but kinda happy for the treatment he's getting. He deserves it. 😜 I slowly opened the door and was warmly greeted by a flying knife. Yeah you didn't misread it, I was welcomed by a FLYING KNIFE!!!!!!!!
It went passed through my cheeks and darted on the wall behind me. A slight cut was visible and a blood dripped from it. Some strain of my hair has also fallen on the floor for being cut by the flying knife in the process. My eyes grown wide with shockness and everyone in the room gasped.
"Shot!!! Kury!!!! What have you done??!?!?!" Solar ran towards me. He quickly took my mask off and examined my bleeding cheek.
"Ow!! Good thing it didn't cause any serious injuries." He wiped the blood off my cheeks and pulled me towards the bathroom.
