She ran down the path, running away from her family. From the ones she loved. She had a secret she couldn't hold if she were with them.
She had been out one night, gotten in a fight and wandered in to the woods. She found herself in the middle of a werewolf pack. They did not spare a confused and helpless twelve year old. She was attacked and bitten. Later the next day she was found by her father. He knew it was a werewolf that had attacked her.
Her brother, only four, did not have a clue what had happened. He had only known she was attacked. His father would not give him information on it, no matter how he begged.
When that girl turned sixteen-her brother young, only the age eight-she ran away from home. She had hid her secret so cleverly, learned to control her disease, had learned to act like her old kind again.
After the attack, she was hid from her brother. His memories of her were washed away.
