Hey guys! So, I'm new to this whole "Wattpad" thing, so this is my first fan fiction. I hope you like the story's plot, and tell me if there's anything else that you think I should add or change! :3 :D Enjoy!

Characters:
Avalanche: The filly of Spirit and Rain, a Buckskin Paint Roan strong-willed horse who grows up to be a beautiful, stubborn mare. Dusk's love interest
Spirit: The father of Avalanche, mate of Rain, and leader of the Cimarron Herd; A strong, brave, and curious Buckskin Stallion. Father is Strider and mother is Esperanza
Rain: Avalanche's mother, Spirit's mate, and the female leader of their herd; A cautious, beautiful, brave American Paint Mare.
Dusk: A colt who's also part of the Cimarron Herd, a Blue Roan stallion who grows up to be a kind, brave horse. Avalanche's love interest, hates Shield
Esperanza: Palomino mare, Spirit's mother, Avalanche's grandmother, and Strider's mate
Strider: Black stallion, Spirit's father, Avalanche's grandfather, and Esperanza's mate. Thought to be dead, but will make appearance in story ;)
Cone: Palomino mare, bubbly personality, silly, funny, happy, hyper, pretty, crush: Shield
Shield: Black stallion, mean/rude, aggressive, strong, handsome, swift, brave, crush: Avalanche, hates Dusk

The gentle breeze carried out Rain's whinnies as she lay on the soft grass. Spirit, as always, stood by her side, watching her. She was having a foal.
After a few more minutes of neighing, there was a soft thud on the ground. Rain had given birth.
The foal that lay on the ground was a Buckskin Paint Roan, having both Spirit's and Rain's colours. Rain nuzzled her new born filly, and Spirit nuzzled both of them.
He then reared up, neighing loudly. The whole herd joined in, congratulating the growing family. The filly got up almost instantly, and wobbled towards her father.
He nuzzled her, and she nibbled at the ends of his mane. The herd rang out in happy neighs again, welcoming the new member.

After a few months, the filly was already galloping around at full speed, almost in front of the whole herd! She was quite fast, especially for not even being a yearling yet, and despite her young age, she was braver than most foals. Spirit sure was proud!
He would spend a lot of time with her, helping her get faster each day, and training her to defend herself and protect the herd.
By the end of the year, she had developed much of her skills. In one incident, a few cougars caused an avalanche, and she was at the front of it, galloping for her life as the rocks tumbled down, gaining on her.
She finally outran an avalanche, so Rain decided to call her Avalanche.

Ok guys, so this was my first chapter, how'd you like it?! I think it was quite good, and I'm proud of my story in total. I'll be uploading the second chapter soon! :D
