"Please" you dragged out the last syllable and clasped your hands together in front of the tall male.

"Ah, I don't know Y/N. You know lies always come back-" Makoto trailed off, his hands nervously fumbling with each other.

Maybe asking your best friend to pretend to be your boyfriend for a family party, wasn't the greatest idea. But you just couldn't stand another interrogation by your relatives on your dating life.

"Since when have you been such a goody?" You asked, pursing your lips.

"Since always"

Throwing your arms up in defeat, you blew out a heavy sigh.

"So that's a no?"

"I never said that," he spoke sheepishly. "I'll do it, but only this one time".

"Really? Okay then, we should probably go since the party starts in fifteen minutes"

Before the confused boy could get in a word, you grabbed his wrist and ran out to the car, him following in your wake.

"I don't know if I can do this" Makoto whispered and followed you up the wooden front porch stairs.

"Don't worry, it's really not gonna be that bad. Plus after this I owe you so you can look forward to that"

You barely managed to finish your sentence when the front door was swung open, revealing your aunt.

"Y/n!" She exclaimed, clasping her hands together. "Come in, and who have you brought with you?" She asked, eyes lingering on Makoto as you both stepped inside.

"This is Makoto, my boyfriend" you spoke, unintentionally grabbing his arm.

"N-nice to meet you," he stuttered forward, a nervous giggle falling from his lips.

This continued on for an hour, introducing him to various relatives and his unease slowly dissipating.

Finally, you two were able to escape to the back porch, away from the others for a while.

"I'm sorry, I know this probably isn't how you wanted to spend your Sunday. I'll repay you in anyway, just name it" you said, sheepishly.

"You don't have to repay me," he laughed, hands coming to a rest at your waist. "I would do anything for you, and you know that"

Letting out a soft sigh, you smiled at the tall boy in front of you. How were you so lucky in your best friend picks?

"But, if you insist.." he continued, tilting his head to the side a bit as he peered down through his bright green orbs.

"You could go on a date with me. Tomorrow?"

"Okay"
