Ch.2 Elijah is...

Adrianna P.O.V

When I woke up, my aunty was pacing the floor talking to someone, being that I couldn't feel anyone else here I assumed she was on the phone.

" no, I have hidden this from her long enough. I need to tell her. She needs to know who her father is " aunty Jan said in a hushed tone not knowing I was awake
" aunty, who are you talking to " I said quietly still sleepy
Aunty Jan hung up her phone and said "no one dear "

" how about you and me go eat a late breakfast at the grill and talk " aunty Jan suggested to which I nodded
" okay "

Aunty Jan went to my bathroom to run me a bath and get me some clothes while I tried to get off the bed and follow
The water was getting louder so I figured I was half way there when aunt Jan came out of the bathroom and said " Adrianna what are you doing you could get hurt " but I only argued saying " aunty, my powers are getting stronger and I feel more in touch with the things around me "

Third P.O.V

Jan tilted her head at the young girl and walked to her. " do you remember what I told you "
The child nodded hesitantly
" well, what was it " Janet asked after she got no reply
" I don't know I don't remember "
Janet smiled softly
" I told you that your magic will get stronger but don't try and use it till you understand it "
" oh yeah " Adrianna nodded

Time skip

After Jan and Adrianna got dressed they went to the grill as planned and ate.
Once they got there they went and sat in a both. Janet had a book with pictures in it with her.

" okay sweetie. What I'm about to tell you is gonna be very shocking considering you've never really heard about him "
" heard about who? " Adrianna questioned
" your.... father "
" my what "

" I know this is a lot to take in " Janet said to the her sisters child
" this is a lot more to take in then a lot. This is a whole bunch to take in. I have a dad. " Adrianna called out with a small smile
Unsure how to feel about this Janet reached across the table and placed her hand on top of the sightless child
" of course you have a dad. Everyone has a dad. "
The girl opened her mouth to speak but quickly closed
" I'm so sorry. I should have told you who he was. I shouldn't have kept him from you but- " Janet rose from her seat and sat next to Adrianna and pulled her in for a hug
" but it was for my protection. I know "
Adrianna cut Janet off but the adult only smiled
" I'm sure that you are full of questions. So ask away "

The little girl smiled

The aunt and niece duo finished their late breakfast and were on their way to the Salvatore boarding house
" do I have any other family members. Maybe a baby cousin or a dog "
" yes, you have a bunch of family members. You have another aunt and 3 uncles that I'm sure will just love and adore you "
" really? " Adrianna questioned dreamily
Janet glanced at the girl in her mirror as she hummed yes
" what about a dog or cousins? "
Janet sucked in a breath of air " I don't know if you'll ever really have cousins but you can count your uncle Klaus as a semi dog "
The 6 year old girl giggled " that's not nice aunt Jan "
Janet chuckled playfully " I'm being serious, your uncle is part dog "
This comment had the girl laughing until they reached the door

" Jan, Anna, what a blessing. Come in come in " Damon salvatore answered the door as he took Adrianna out of Janet's arms and tickled her
" stop it " the girl playfully smacked this vampires arms
" be careful Damon " Janet rolled her eyes at the vampire as she stepped pass the doorway and into the living room where Stefan, Elena and a stranger were waiting
" umm "
" Janet, Rose. Rose, Janet " Stefan answered Janet's unasked question
" why is- "
" Rose is here to give us information about Klaus " Elena answered this time
Nodding Janet said " Right "

" I'm sorry about taking Adrianna " Rose apologized
Janet sat on the couch by Damon and Adrianna " yeah "
" well let's just get this over with. Continue " Damon ordered

" okay so what you're saying is that the oldest vampire alive is coming after me " Elena asked to which Stefan and Rose answered
" no " and " yes "
" let's just assume Klaus is coming to kill Elena . What are we gonna do to keep Elena safe " Janet questioned as she thought rationally

" easy. well send her to Germany " Damon started then looked at the child he was still holding in his arms
" what do you think kid "
" I think Italy. Bring me back some candy " Adrianna gave a thumbs up and Damon nodded " Italy it is "

Stefan smiled at the child and rolled his eyes at his brother " no ones going to Italy "
" boo you Stefan " Damon called out childish
" if you want Elena to survive, sending her out of country would be the best option. For her but not for her family " Rose added her two cents in

" right well I'll get in touch with Bonnie start looking for a spell " Janet rose from her seat and grabbed Adrianna from Damon but he quickly pulled her back " why can't she ever stay her with me "
Placing her hands on her hips " because no human owns this house. Any vampire could come in and take her "
" but what if I double lock the doors " Damon tried again when Janet reached for her niece
" why are so bent on her staying "

Janet looked at the girl who resembled her sister
" can I stay, please " the child begged
" fine " Janet sighed

" I know you will. Bye now " Damon pushed Janet out the door before looking at the girl
