Chapter5: like the spy kids 1/2

Third P.O.V

The next morning when Rose and Adrianna woke up the decided to eat a small breakfast and talk
" so Rosie do like Damon " the small child asked
Rose who was looking at her phone, waiting for Slater to text her back " I'm sorry what "

" do-you-like-Damon "
" yes but only as a friend "
" that's what they all say "

" well what about you? You like anybody? " Rose questioned as she sat her phone down and gave the little girl her full attention
" well, I don't know. Aunt Janet has this friend that lives a few towns over with her son and they sometimes visit. We play house together but I don't know if I like him. Besides I'm an independent woman and don't need no man. At least that's what Caroline said "

Rose smiled at the child " how about we go get dressed "
Adrianna nodded excitedly " can I wear a nice outfit today "
" sure. What's the occasion "
" I don't know, it just feels right "
Rose tilted her head and raised an eyebrow but nodded at the girl and grabbed her hand and headed upstairs

After Adrianna was dressed and playing with the end of her skirt waiting for Rose to finish dressing when the door downstairs opened

Rose who finished dressing herself came out of the bathroom, pickup Adrianna and sped downstairs to the entryway
" it's not nice to leave a girl with a child alone and not leave a note or send a text message.. "

Rose started but stoped herself when she realized it wasn't Damon but Elena who walked into the house

" sorry, I thought you were someone else " Rose apologized as she placed Adrianna on the floor beside her.
" there's no one else here " Rose added

Elena forced a smile and approached Rose " actually I came to talk to you "
Adrianna who was silent up until now said "o-m-g. You not gonna say hello to me "
Smiling a genuine smile Elena reached out for Adrianna and pulled her into a hug

" hey Adri. How are you "
" I don't know. Right now I'm good but later. That's probably gonna be a different story "
" how so? " Elena questioned
" it just feels like one of those days. Ya know "

Then the young child proceeded to strut away

Rose and Elena sat in the den talking while Adrianna was sitting on the floor a few feet away from them listening to music on Roses phone and mumbling along with it
"

" it's a bad idea " Rose stayed as she paced the floor
Quickly Elena shook her head " no it's not"
" from what Stefan told me your friend Slater has more information about Klaus. And you and Damon just gave up before you got it" she added raising her eyebrow

" because someone blew up a coffee shop with us, including Adrianna in it " Rose said eyes widening

Tilting her head down Elena said " there more to lean. We just have to find a way to learn it " as Rose turned around started to walk away before she turned around with a sharp look

" why are you coming to me with this? "

Sitting up straighter Elena said confidently " because you owe me. One word from me, and Damon and Stefan could have killed you for kidnapping Adrianna and I "

Amused Rose raised an eyebrow at the young doppelgänger " or maybe it's because you know that they wouldn't want you doing this. And their moonstone capper gives you a chance to sneak away "

Elena only looks at Rose and sassily says " we're having a disagreement, ok? "
" they're willing to risk everyone that I love and I'm not. "

Not seeing things the way Elena was Rose said " they're just trying to protect you "
Elena only countered by saying " and you've proven you couldn't care less whether I'm protected or not. So we're back to you taking me to Slater "

Sitting next to the demanding doppelgänger Rose questions " what exactly do you hope to achieve by doing this? "

" how would you like to be able to walk during the daylight "

" I've been a slave to shadows for 500 years. What do you think? "

" I think I know a witch who's willing to do whatever it takes to help. If you're willing to make a deal "

After Elena convinced Rose to take her to Slater the trio of girl made there way to the doppelgängers car and were off.

" where are we going Rose? " Adrianna questioned as she played with her fingers
" we're going to see my friend Slater. You remember him don't you " Rose answered

The youngest brunette smiled and nodded her head " yeah, I remember him. He asked me about my daddy. Did you know he has brown hair like me "
" yes, I did " Rose smiled before turning to Elena as she pulled into the parking lot
" are you sure you want to do this? "

Elena only nodded and said " it's the only way " them proceeded to get out of the car and grab Adrianna

So sorry I haven't updated in forever and a year. A part of me lost interest in this story because after a while I couldn't think of anything to write so I just didn't try at all. I didn't want to end the story because I knew I wasn't officially done with it. So I've decided to try and start writing again.
Hope you enjoyed this part, also I'm working on the other part now while I'm in the zone of writing but it might not be posted tonight.
