Chapter 3
Matt's POV
I race into my Homeroom and am surprised I'm not late at all, there are only three other people who had arrived before me.
"Matthew Espinosa?" The teacher at the front of the class calls.
"Here!" I raise my hand and plopped down into a seat.
More people started entering the classroom and getting seated. While my classmates were taking to the teacher, I pulled out my phone.
I opened up twitter to find my feed piling with retweets, comments, messages, and many more.
I press the search button and look up Kristen. I knew it was unlikely that I was actually going to find Kristen's twitter just by looking up her name, but it was worth a try.
Unbelievably and to my luck, her smiling face popped up. Quickly I pressed the following button with a sigh. I had to say, I was forming some type of attraction to Kristen.
The whole rest of Homeroom I was praying that first period would arrive faster so I could see Kristen.
Kristen's POV
I walked into Homeroom incredibly late. My whole Homeroom class was already seated and the teacher was talking about some conference thing that was happening next week. Hopefully this conference didn't apply to me.
"Kristen! You finally decided to show up." Mrs. Peters scolds me.
"Class, this is our new student from." Mrs. Peters turns to me with her eyebrow raised.
"Oregon." I mumble.
"Oh yes, all the way from Oregon." Mrs.Peters motions me to sit down next to a petite brunette.
"Hey." I say to the brunette.
"Hey." The brunette doesn't even look up at me but down at her phone.
"What's your name?" I try to start a conversation.
"Madison. What bout you?" She finally looks up from her phone and straight into my eyes. "You new here?"
"Kristen and ya I'm new." Was this girl serious? Had she even been in class for the past five minutes?
"Nice to meet you." Her hazel eyes dart to the door as a tall blonde walks in.
"Omg! Tay you're is this your homeroom?" Madison yells at the blonde with I'm guessing was Tay.
"Omg yes! I switched from my old Homeroom, let's just say, I didn't really get along with others there." Tay snickered and Madison joined in. Madison then gets out of her seat to give her friend a hug as I awkwardly watch.
Once there hug is over, they both turn to me.
"Get up, Tay's gonna sit there." Madison put her hand on her hip.
"Girls! I'm deciding where you're going to sit!" Mrs. Peters yells at them. Relief spreads throughout my body. No way was I going to be an outcast in this class.
"Taylor, sit on the other side of Kristen." Mrs.Peters points to the empty seat next to me.
Tay plops down with a grunt.
"I've never seen you in my life. Have you even been going to this school?" Tay laughs.
"I'm new." I shoot back a little too loud.
"Oh." Tay looks defeated. "Whatever."
Tay pulls out her phone and I can't help to sneak a peek of what she's texting. It was a text to Madison.
Text To Madison:
what u think bout new girl?
Text From Madison:
she's cute. maybe possible friend.
Text To Madison:
same thing im thinking. she has the looks, just needs help with wardrobe.
My face reddens as I look down at my dress, maybe it did need a little something else.
Text From Madison:
invite her over 2nit w/ other girls. c what they think.
Text To Madison:
think she'll be a new membr of r group?
Text From Madison:
Text To Madison:
ok. invite K to r lunch table?
Text From Madison:
yes.
I quickly turn my head to Mrs.Peters as Tay turns off her phone.
"Kristen, how would you like to sit with Madison, me, and some of our friends for lunch?" Tay asks me.
"Sure." I grin. Suddenly the bell rings and we all start piling out of class.
"See ya at lunch." Madison and Tay say at the same time before leaving the room.
I got up with a proud smile. Three friends already made, and I hadn't even gotten to my first class. Moving actually might not be that bad after all.
