I was finally home. After the restaurant, Max had taken me to the movies. It was so sweet the way he had literally bought every single item on the menu there, from popcorn to popsicles. It was a tad excessive but I knew he was doing it to impress me.

And boy was I impressed.

Putting aside the fact that he was wealthy, it was refreshing to actually be able to talk to someone. He was definitely a catch and with the way I had been feeling lately about Jared, I knew this was something I just couldn't ignore.

Now I was soaking in the tub, sipping possibly my 6th cup of wine. I had lost count.
It was so peaceful. Serene.

I was dozing off as I lay in the warm water when all of a sudden a loud knock was heard at the door.
As I jolted from my peaceful mood, I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my body, wondering who it could be bothering me at 3 in the morning.

"Hey," I said nervously.

"Wrong time?" He smirked.

"Well it is 3 in the morning. Most of us have work soon." I said.

"Yeah but if that were true you wouldn't be out on a date and agree to stay out so late," he retorted.

Okay, I was slightly annoyed now.

"How did you even find me?" I asked. I was really curious, was this guy a stalker?

He chuckled as he held his hands up.
"Before you accuse me of stalking you, I'll have you know that you had given me your address once upon a time," he said.

Oh yeah. He had a point. I had forgotten why I had but it was true.

I nodded and shifted my gaze slowly downward to his body. He was still in what he had been wearing at the restaurant.

"Right," I said. "Well, um, thanks for stopping by," I said as I began to swing the door close.
But before I could shut the door completely, he put his leg forward and the door was kept ajar thanks to his foot.
