Chapter 17
*Christina’s pov*
I woke up realising it was a Monday; great (note my sarcasm). Maddie, Liv and Ellie had left soon after Harry. We planned me driving up there this weekend, it really was great seeing them; but I hadn’t noticed how much I really missed them since they had left. I pulled on my school uniform and brushed my hair then leaving it, I wasn’t in the mood to bother my hair.
“Where you going?” Eleanor asked me as I headed for the door.
“I just need a little fresh air.” I smiled weakly before leaving. I literally have no idea why I feel so upset; but I just do.
I walked over to the park next to the school as well as sitting on a bench. It was only me because I was up so early on a Monday.
I brought my hands to my necklace around my neck that I wore every day. It was a golden heart with a diamond.
*Flashback*
“Morning sweetie.” My mother smiled warmly passing me a cup of tea.
“All set for school?” My dad asked setting the newspaper down on the table so he could direct his attention to me.
“Yep!” I said popping the p.
“Morning red head!” Jason said popping up behind me as he messed my hair up.
“Do you know how long that took me you idiot!” I shrieked trying to fix it.
“Jason honey!” Mum tried to scold him but couldn’t help the smile on her face.
“You’re all so annoying.” I pouted sitting down.
I saw something glisten around my mum’s neck.
“That’s nice.” I smiled at her focussing my attention on her necklace.
“Do you like it?” She asked taking it off to examine.
“Yeah, were did you get it?” I asked.
“A long time ago, sweetie.” She smiled putting it in my hands.
*End of flashback*
I hadn’t even noticed I was tearing up at the memory. I just missed her so much along with my father. There were really young as well. My mother was in her thirties as my father. The worst thing is that their murderers are still out there, enjoying life when my parents don’t even have one thanks to them.
*Harry’s pov*
Chris didn’t show up for history. I had really hoped to sort stuff out with her but then I never got the chance.
As soon as the bell rang I ran up to Eleanor in the hall to ask her were Chris was. Apparently she was upset and left early.
I skipped maths and spent my time looking for her. I soon gave up when I heard a quiet sob coming from the park.
I saw the familiar red head sat on her own on the bench crying. I felt my heart crack watching her broken state.
“Hey.” I whispered softly sitting next to her.
“What are you doing here?” She asked her big brown eyes staring into mine.
“I was looking for you.” I said taking her hand in mine.
