Chapter 2

Shannons POV

'Hello?' April answered her phone, that's a first.

'Hey April, long time no speak eh?' I let a smile out and heard April exhale a cigarette.

'Shannon! it's great to hear from you, I've missed you..so what's up? She took another toke of her cigarette.

'Well, we've got our new album coming out soon, not really supposed to talk about it, I thought you might wanna come visit for a few weeks.'

'Wait what month is it again..' I heard her flick through some paper, I'm guessing it was a callender. 'September, I'm basically free all this month, you know cause I've been let go.'

'Shit, what the hell for?'

'I got into a fight with the asshole I used to call boss, she never liked me, says I took too many breaks and well, I weren't up for that kinda crap so she fired me.'

'I can hire a secret assassin if you want?' She laughed down the phone and so did I, 'Well I'm crashing at Jareds, for a while, I mean you're more then welcome to stay if things aren't still heated between you two?' I nervously asked, I really wanted to see her.

'Yea, I'm cool with that man, have you checked with JJ blue eyes? Cause I don't wanna be like a pain in the ass.'

'He's cool with it.' I lied through my teeth.

'When do you want to me fly over?' She lived in California, we were in L.A.

'The sooner the better, howds this weekend sound, the album goes public next week I'd-..We'd love you to be there for It.'

'Sure, only if one of you lot pick me up from the airport, I haven't got money for cabs in L.A.'

I chuckled, 'Does your highness need anything else?'

'20 cigs, and a million bucks.' She politely said.

'I can do cigarettes.' I was fiddling with a pencil mimicking a fag.

'Deal, see you then Shan.' Before I could reply she hung up. I couldn't help but smile. It wouldn't last long as I had to break the news to Jared.

I drove round to the studio, I'm guessing he was still there. I put a coat over my head for the walk between the car and doors, it was still raining.

I found Jared still slumped in a chair, and would you have guessed it, eating cookies. Vegan most likely.

'Hey grump nut.' I put my wet coat over another chair and sat down, he looked up from his phone.

'You look excited.' He said with no emotion.

'Yea I found my favourite shirt and ordered a new phone, and oh yea Aprils coming to stay.' Lets see if he was even paying attention.

'Clap, clap you found your shirt its not like you can't go buy another one, and-' He looked up and his eyes grew wider. 'What?!'

'What?' I noticed Tomo was slowly coming in the room, he quitely sat down with a bottle of juice.

'What did you say about April?' He put his phone away and leaned in.

'She's coming to stay, at yours, with us, for the release of ABL.' I said smiling, while patting my wet coat.

'How-What?' He shook his head and squinted his eyes. Then it shocked me. He was glowing amd a smile crossed his face. 'Well, when is she coming?'

I looked at him in amazement. 'This weekend, I'm picking her up from the airport-'

'Ill do it.' Jared interrupted me. 'I'll get her.'

'Jared I don't think a free lift will make it up to her.' Tomo suddenly joined the conversation.

About a year ago I guess you could say Jared and April were dating, but when a bunch of magazines and online reports realised images of Jared with another girl. April stopped contacting him and he made no effort to call her.

'Well then if that doesn't I'll do more for her.' He looked as if he was in deep thought, then he got up and left without a word.

'You okay Shan?' Tomo patted my shoulder.

'Yep...' I sighed.

When Jared and April were dating I admitted to Jared and Tomo I had feelings for April. Of course, being the selfish guy that he is he didn't pay attention and continued to ignore her because he's just great at relationships.

'Well I'm gonna head on home, Jared probably won't be there, I could do with alone time, plus there's a coffee machine and a bunch of movies with my name on waiting for me.' I put my coat on and said bye to Tomo and left.

Couldn't wait to see what Jared was gonna do for April.
