"alright" sadie said unbluckling her seatbelt. "we'll be right back" she finished before slamming her door shut

"hurry up" she yelled, metres away from the car now, wanting nothing but time away from the four boys behind her

millie jumped out and quickened her pace, reaching sadie only just before she got to the front door, pulling it towards her in frustration.

"chill" millie smiled, placing her hand on her shoulder. "they're not that bad"

"they're not that bad?" sadie bickered, walking through the stop-off store in search for some water

"gaten won't stop kicking my seat, noah keeps saying he's 'homesick' and caleb, don't even get me start-" sadie stopped herself, finding what she was looking for.

"you're lucky" she started, pulling the fridge door as she bent down to grab a water.

"how so?" millie squinted her eyebrows, watching her as she chugged almost half the bottle, not bothering to pay before doing so

"you don't have to put up with them all the time, you're always with finn." sadie replied rolling her eyes

"is that bad? i thought you were happy for me?" millie offensively snapped back, walking over to the checkout as sadie slammed the half drunk water bottle on the counter

"of course i am mills" she smiled, handing the boy the money. "keep the change" sadie winked at him before walking back towards the exit doors

the two walked out into the darkness. the cold, windy air instantly hitting the both of there faces. "it's just, i miss you" sadie turned to face her, getting an apologetic smile back from Millie

"i mi-" millie cut herself off, eyeing the three boys that stare oh so eagerly at the two from behind her

"dont look but those boys are staring at us" millie bit her lip, trying everything in her not to slap sadie as the first thing she did, of course, was whip her head in there direction

"hey boys" sadie yelled, giving a little wave before turning back to face Millie, laughing

"shit" millie whispered

"what?" sadie replied, studying her facial expression

"they're coming over here" she whisper yelled back, shaking her head at sadie for her actions

"so?" sadie shrugged turning to face them again, only to get pulled back by Millie

"so? im with finn now, you can't just be calling over random bo-" millie lowered her voice as she saw them coming nearer

"so you are dating?" sadie whisper-yelled back, raising her eyebrows

"yes.. no, i-i dont know" millie looked down, not wanting to meet the attention of the boys who now surrounded them

"who do we have here?" one of them spoke up, clapping and rubbing his hands together as if he was about to have a meal

"you got names?" another one said, walking closer to sadie seeing the eagerness for attention in her eyes

"yeah, im sadie and this is millie" sadie spoke up, a perky tone clear in her voice

the three boys averted there attention to millie who looked uncomfortable to say the least

"well arent you a pretty little thing" the curly haired boy flirted.

it was obvious that the two weren't from around this neighbourhood, anyone with common sense would know you do not talk to strangers, especially here

especially these strangers.

millie bit her lip again, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, unsure of what to do in the situation

"sadie" millie whispered, tugging at her jumper, getting her attention.
"let's go"

"back with them? no thanks" sadie laughed, bringing her attention back to the boys who eyed her greedily

"sadie lets go!" millie raised her voice, getting the attention from everyone now

"why so soon?" the boy with dark hair spoke up, draping his arm over he shoulder

quickly reacting, millie shook his arm off her "get off me!" she yelled

"millie stop being such a bitch" sadie yelled back, quickly regretting her choice of words

millie shook her head in shock, storming off back to the car

"mil- millie wait!" sadie called from behind her, leaving the group of boys now alone

ignoring the cries for her, millie opened the boot door with force before carelessly falling beside finn in her seat

"millie?! what's wrong" finn asked her, worried as to why she had tears forming in her eyes

"millie" finn whispered, head snapping up to sadie who slammed her door shut also, not greeting the boys as she entered the car

"what happened?" he softly asked her, grabbing the tips of her fingers with his own

"nothing" millie coldly replied, eyes fixated on the road ahead as caleb began to drive

the tears in her eyes began to spill out, still shocked at what had just happened.

it wasn't more so anger, it was confusion, disappointment. sadie had never lashed out on her before, in fatter of fact, no one had.

sure finn and her had there arguments in the past, but they were mutual, had reasoning.

lost in her own thoughts millie didn't even feel finn pull her closer to him, wrapping both arms around her waist as he rested his chin on her head

"whenever you want or need to talk about it, im here" he whispered in her ear before kissing the top of her head lightly, rubbing his thumb over her hand that he still held

"thankyou" millie breathed out, feeling thankful that she had someone like finn in her life to take care of her now

someone she slowly felt herself falling more and more in love with

i never said she loved him yet don't attack me
