How My Mother Died.

As I got closer to my house I saw my neighbour, Mr Cole (Sophia's dad) who was also the local cop. when I got to where he was stood outside my door waiting for me, I could see the sorrow in his eyes as he handed me a letter that was from my dad (I could tell by the hand writing). I looked at the letter, the envelope was slightly creased and the handwriting like usual but something was off about it, it was rushed and in a mess for my dad's writing. There was a chill in the air as soon I looked up at Mr Cole, I had the worst gut feeling and I hoped I wasn't right.

Lily: "what is this? Where is my dad?" Mr Cole: "Lily, please listen to me I need to tell you something" Lily: "ok" Mr Cole: "your dads business trip ended a day earlier than he expected and was on his way home last night but we found his car this morning near the lake just out of town it looked like it had crashed, pretty bad by the looks of it. He is now in a coma at hospital in Victoria ( Victoria is the next town over which is about an hours drive from here, its much bigger than Ivywood which only has a one doctor who sees the whole town) " Lily: "COMA! So he is alive! Right?" Mr Cole: "yes he is alive but may be out for a while, you never know with comas. You can go see him tomorrow, I can take you there if you want me too." Lily: "why can't I see him today?" Mr Cole: "they are doing tests on him to make sure he wasn't drunk, drugged or anything else and I'm not suggesting he was but they are the tests they always run on people in a coma or car accident." Lily: "oh, ok. Well I would appreciate it if you could take me tomorrow, thank you." Mr Cole: "it's my pleasure. Do you want me to ask Sophia to stay with you tonight, I don't want you to be alone after what I've told you." Lily: "thank you for worrying about me and yeah I would like her to stay, could you tell her for me and send her round at seven please, I just need time to take this in and read this letter." Mr Cole: "yes I will. She'll see you later." Lily: "thank you, bye." Mr Cole: "bye"

I unlocked my front door and went straight inside and ran upstairs forgetting to lock the door behind me. I opened my room door and went straight to my bed, I flung my shoes across the room and tore open the letter. It read...

"Lily, please concentrate on what I am about to tell you, it is the truth on how your mother really died! Seven months ago, your mother came to visit me out of nowhere while you were away at your grandmas for the week, she seemed off while we were talking about you, she was going to place you in my custody, I asked why but she would just change the subject. She was always looking out of the window for someone or something, she seemed scared. She looked at the clock after I signed the papers and quickly got in her car and raced off, the next time I heard of her was that her body was found in the lake just outside of town. Now I know this will seem weird but I think I know what she was running from, when we were younger me, her and some of our friends played a Ouija Board and I think we let out a dark spirit or demon, as the years past our friends suddenly and horrifically died. I think the demon got to your mom and now it is coming for me, so please don't play with the board or your years might be months, I'm sorry."

When I read that last part I felt my heart tear out my chest, this could be the reason I am always feeling so uneasy. Then it suddenly came to me, we could all be in danger by that thing we saw while we played that stupid board, I've put all my friends in danger! What have I done!
