I Gotta Tell My Friends!

Suddenly, from the corner of my eye I saw a dark figure standing in the hallway outside my bedroom. I quickly turn to look and to my relief it was Sophia. I gave her a questionable look and turned to my clock and saw it was just gone seven. Sophia "whoa! are you ok? it looks like you've just seen a ghost" she says with a smirk forming on her face. Lily "you really are an asshole! why didn't say anything when you walked in, I nearly had a heart attack!" Sophia just broke out laughing while trying to say sorry, so she just sounded like a snake which made me break out in laughter too. 

We stopped laughing and Sophia walked towards my bed and gave me a hug before sitting down next to me. Sophia "I heard what happened and I'm so sorry for what happened to your dad" I looked down at my hands and said "thanks Sophia, your dad is taking me to see him tomorrow" Sophia "yeah he mentioned it to me before I left the house" Lily "here read this letter that my dad wrote me before his crash" she read the letter and her eyes widened as she read on. Sophia "what the fuck Lily, is this real!" Lily "yeah! We need to tell the other about it." I pulled my laptop from my backpack and logged into my Skype. Sophia "I'll message in the group chat for everyone to log on and join the call." A few minutes later everyone joined the call and I read the letter to them. They all had the same reaction. Pure shock. Jensen "this has got to be some fucked up joke, it has to be!" Lexi "yeah I agree with Jensen on this one, I'm sorry about your dad lily but this is bullshit!" they both left the call. Freddie "this does sound like a joke to be honest lily." Sam nodded his head agreeing with his brother who was sat next to him, a few seconds later they left the call and it was just me, Sophia and Amy. Sophia "you believe us don't you Amy?" Amy "well it does sound a bit off but if you both believe it then I will too!" lily "thanks for your support Amy!" Amy "even if the others don't believe, even if this is true, then how your dad says that we are in danger they will so believe!" she left the call and me and Sophia ordered a Chinese in and watched Disney movies the rest of the night then went to bed.

The next morning, I woke up so tired. I barely got any sleep because I was tossing and turning all night. Sophia "hey, are you ok?" Lily "yeah, I'm just worried about my dad that's all" Sophia "ok, I'll go to my house and tell my dad to get the car ready" she got dressed and went home. I finished getting ready and went downstairs to get a cereal bar, as I opened the cupboard, I heard a car horn beep which made me jump. I grabbed a Froot loops bar and ran out the door, this time locking it behind me. I got into the car and went to Victoria hospital. The drive was long and boring, Mr Cole tried to make small talk but made the whole situation kinda awkward. We arrived and I went to the ward where they was keeping my dad, I told the receptionist my name and relation to him and they let me see him and told me that he wasn't drunk or drugged up, which I knew he wouldn't be because he is the safest person I know. Mr Cole "I'll let you have a few minutes alone with him then we will have to get going back because I have to be on patrol in two hours." Lily "ok, thank you for bringing me." I sat down on a chair that was next to my dads' bed and I shuffled it closer to him so I could hold his hand. He had small cuts and bruises all over him, he had a tube in his mouth to help him breathe. He had been put on a saline drip to keep him hydrated while he is in the coma. Lily "hey dad, its me. I got your letter and I'm sorry but your warning was too late, the first night you was away me and my friends played it and something tried to come after us but nothing has happened since, well only you going into a coma but that could be coincidental. Just please wake up soon, I'm scared and really need you, I miss you." I gave him a kiss on the cheek and went outside his room and gave Mr Cole a nod and we headed back.

When we got back, I headed to school, luckily Mr Cole had called them about what happened so I wouldn't get into trouble. The walk to school was quiet, I opened the entrance door and walked in, for some reason it was dark but I ignored it and carried walking down the hallway. I turned the corner and I halted. That thing from the lake was now stood at the end of this hallway under a flickering light. This time I could get a better look at it since there was no fog. Its eyes glowed more of an amber colour than yellow as I first thought they were. The pitch-black smoke rising from its body then dispersing a few seconds later made it seem other worldly. This time I heard a strange click type of growl coming from its mouth or where its mouth would be, its head cracked as it tilted to stare at me, piercing my soul. Somewhere in my mind is saying run but I can't help but stare, glued to the floor I saw it step one foot towards me, I flinched in fear. Then it moved its other foot, each movement it made gave a loud crack as if all its bones were breaking with each step. As it edged closer my breath quickened and sweat began to form on my forehead, now just meters from me it stopped. The lights went out in the whole school. At this moment is when my legs started to move and I turned it run, something grabbed my arm and it made me scream. The lights came back on and I turned to see what grabbed me. I looked at the hand and slowly looked up to find Amy holding me. I broke down in tears and fell to the floor. Amy "hey, lily, what was all that about. I came out of class when the lights went out and saw you in the middle of the hall." Lily "t.tt..that t..thing it was here, I swear, it was right in front of me. It was coming for me!" Amy "wait, it was here! What the fuck does it want!" Lily "well according to my dads letter it wants all of us dead because we played with that stupid fucking Ouija board." We walked back to class and swore to not talk about what happened.

 The rest of the day went by so quick. Sophia stayed that night too, luckily it was Friday so there was no school the next day. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
