“..Andrew?”

I stood there frozen in my spot as he stared at me waiting for a reaction. Did they think it was a good idea to bring him? They knew how much I despised him for the whole situation. It pissed me off even more when they didn’t believe me when I told them he was the one with the lighter. That made my blood boil even more.

“Why is he here?” I turned to my mother and spoke with gritted teeth. I was leaving fingernail marks in my palm from how hard I was clenching my fists. She sighed.

“Mandy, it’s about time you moved past this once and for all. This whole thing is better off forgotten.”  She smiled and tried to reach for me but I took a step back. Forget about it? Is she kidding me?

“There is no way in hell I will forget this, he ruined my life!” I threw my hands towards Andrew as my voice began to heighten. After all this they still believe I was the one that started the fire, and the fact that Andrew could stand there and not say anything makes me hate him even more.

“Mandy, can we go talk somewhere?” Andrew finally spoke; I looked at him as if he had 5 heads.

“Are you fucking kidding me? No!”

“Please.” He sighed, shifting his gaze towards my father who was walking towards us. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest.

“Well Mandy, I talked to your mentor and she said that you’ve been improving more and more everyday here” he twitched his lips up to what seemed to be a smile, but his facial features dropped again as he sensed the tension among us.

“What’s going on here?” He spoke raising his brows.

“Andrew is a-”

“Mandy and I were just going to go for a walk and catch up” Andrew smiled up towards me dad and walked to stand next to me. I shuddered at us being this close.

“Oh, well you guys catch up. Mandy, your mother and I will be sitting down at the tables” My father placed his arm around my mother’s shoulder and guided her towards the seated area, She gave me one last sad smile before disappearing out of site.

“What the hell are you doing here? Come to see what you almost got into if you would’ve owned up?” I whipped myself around to Andrew and spoke harshly. He looked taken back.

“Can we go somewhere private and talk? Please.” He looked at me with pleasing eyes. I didn’t want to make a scene. I huffed and nodded my head.

“Fine, but if you say one more thing to piss me off I will punch you.”

Justin’s POV

I was leaning forwards in my chair with my elbows resting on my knees, almost falling asleep listening to my dad drone on and on. I watched my mother as she stood at the refreshment table socializing with the other parents.

“I hope we still understand each other, Justin” my dad spoke which snapped me out of my daydream.

“About what?”

“Where you even listening to me?” He groaned. I shook my head which made him sigh. He cleared his throat and began to speak again.

“About what happened with me and Lindsey,” She has a name? I don’t even fucking care. I threw him a glare and shook my head.

“Yes, I fucking got it” I leaned back down on my elbows and looked ahead, not paying attention to anything.

“I mean it Justin, you know what will happen if you tell anyone about this.” He took a tight grip and my shoulder and pulled me back up. I harshly pushed his hand off of me.
