Justin’s POV
I watched as Mandy eventually disappeared out of site. I did hate myself for not going after her but I know she needs some time to herself right now. I wanted to hold her, comfort her and let her know that everything will be fine, but I knew she would just dismiss me. Seeing how her dad treated her made my blood turn cold, and I cannot believe that fucking dick Andrew actually let her take all the blame for it. I swear I wanted to kill him.
I sighed as my mother appeared in front of me. She had a look of sympathy in her eyes, no doubt because of what with Mandy. Everyone around me was still in shock at the sudden scene that had just occurred.
“Make sure you go and check up on her later, I can’t believe the poor girl has to deal with something like that from her own parents.” She shook her head disapproving and looked off into the direction that Mandy’s parents and that asshole had walked off in. I nodded, agreeing with her.
An out of the blue idea had suddenly come to me and before I could stop myself I already felt my legs pulling me towards the car park.
“I’ll be right back.” I walked towards to car park hoping to catch them before they leave, and sure enough as I walk up I see them discussing something before her father spotted me.
He rolled his eyes and scoffed bitterly. “Oh great, she probably sent him-“
“Let me talk, and no she didn’t send me.” I said sternly, im here on her behalf and I hope this doesn’t do down in complete flames. I pointed back towards the camp and spoke through my gritted teeth.
“Your daughter is probably back in the cabin crying her eyes out, because of her parents and an asshole of a friend. Actually I wouldn’t even call him that.”
Andrew looked up and tried to protest. “Hey-“
“I said let me talk.” I spat. Mandy’s mother looked somewhat intrigued, where as her father made no hesitation to make a face signifying that I was completely wasting his time. But I wasn’t going to give up until I got my point across.
“How does it feel knowing you’ve made your daughter’s life miserable? Do you know how many conversations we’ve had and how much times she’s cried?” I felt my heart clench thinking about the times I’ve had to comfort her; I hated seeing her in pain and tears.
“Well that’s ridiculous; god knows what kind of lies she’s been spreading about us!” He threw his hand towards me and turned towards his wife, who looked very interested in the words I was throwing at them.
I ignored his comment. “She was so nervous about you guys coming here, knowing you would still punish her for something that was out of her control.” I spoke softly, trying to sound as sincere as I possibly could. I was thinking of Mandy and how much it would mean to her if I got them to understand.
“We know it was her, you have no idea what you’re saying-“
“No, im not fucking done. You had a chance to humiliate her before now I got something to say.” I let my anger get the best of my and spat the words out like venom, he looked at me in complete disgust.
“Who do you think you’re speaking to?” He furrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms over his chest, he probably wanted to seem intimidating but it somehow fueled my anger even more.
“Apparently and oblivious father who is so quick to throw his daughter under the bus all for what a complete and utter stranger has told you!” I shouted and gestured my hands towards Andrew who was trying to avoid my gaze. Fucking prick.
“Why would Andrew lie?! Mandy is his best friend!”
I scoffed at how completely naive he was, It was begging to amuse me.
