A/N~ Another short one. But its finally up. I've been having some trouble with writer's block on the ones I'm currently working on so if I post anything it's probably going to be edited versions of older works for a little bit while I try to get out of this funk.

Luffy and his allies were resting at Kyros' place. Sabo was walking to the door as he heard complaints about the lack of booze coming from inside. Luckily for the whiny swordsman Sabo had thought to bring a bottle as a possible peace offering should any misunderstandings arise.

As soon as he opened the door and tossed the bottle to the green haired man though he knew that wouldn't be the case as a familiar voice called his name in delight at the sight of him.

The whole encounter went rather well really and he even made sure to leave his vivre card with Zoro just in case they needed to find him. But what Robin said just before the door closed behind him on his way out stunned him.

"Sabo if you get the chance make sure to ask for (y/n)'s hand more properly this time around. I'm sure Luffy can't wait until she finally becomes his sister."

He had proposed to you? When? How had he gained the courage? Had you said yes? He found himself unconsciously clutching at the box in his pocket. His memories along with all the answers to these questions and more could be right there in his grasp.

The temptation to open it right then and there was almost too much for him. But instead he removed his hand from his pocket and held on to the brim of his hat in order to keep it busy.

As he walked away he let his mind wander. He tried to think of things like the current mission and his new situation with his brother. But his thoughts kept coming back to you.

He wanted to tell you all that he was feeling at that moment. All the love he had for you made things so conflicting with his missing memory. On the one hand he was frustrated with the situation and the pain it caused you and it made him feel angry with himself that he wasn't strong enough to help you.

But on the other hand he was happy to know that the lack of his memories from your earliest times together wasn't enough to change how he felt for you. And that fact acted as confirmation to himself that what he felt was far more real and true than any of those old fairy tales he knew from the time he was small had described.

Messing up something so rare and wonderful by breaking a promise to you would be stupid of him. So he'll just have to be patient when it comes to opening that box in his pocket.
