A/N ~Alright so I was going to wait longer to see if I wanted to extend this story but the ideas are coming at me like one of Franky's missile attacks and it seems they won't stop until I write something down. Which has proven rather distracting when it comes to my schoolwork. So I hope you guys enjoy this and if you have any ideas that you want to share feel free to leave a comment or message me. Constructive critique is always welcome so long as you're not a rude buttmunch about it.😆~
It had been years since you had started your search for him. You didn't even know why but you were sure that he was alive somewhere. Everyone, even his brothers thought he died the day his ship was shot by the Celestial Dragons as a kid. But once you were old enough you set sail to find him. At this point however you felt just about ready to give up, you still believed he was alive but you didn't know where to look anymore.
That's when you ran into a strange girl who was obviously a revolutionary on a spring island.
She was being picked on by a bunch of no name rookie pirates and you just couldn't sit back and watch in good conscience. And thinking about it for half a second this could actually be your chance to gain more leads. An idea struck you at that moment causing the figurative lightbulb above your head to flash on. So you walked up to the group while subtly activating your devil fruit.
A black mist slowly creeped in and the pirates instantly froze in sudden fear. One of them turned to see a devilish smirk on your face before running off with his companions swiftly following. The girl who had not seen the mist stood there looking confused before turning to you, as you just shrugged in response with a less sinister smirk replacing the one from before.
"Hi." She gave you a look of uncertainty and a quick hi back in response. "May I buy you a drink?" you asked. She continued to look at you skeptically and replied with a slightly drawn out. "Sure."
Once the two of you reached the local bar and sat down at the booth you turned to ask her "By the way my names (f/n), what's yours?"
"Koala." She responded.
"Why did you save me?" she asked.
"Because my conscience would have bugged me for weeks if I hadn't."
"That and I'm looking for someone and thought that it would be best to ask a fellow traveler since no one on this island seems to have seen them." you added nonchalantly after a slight pause. Koala gave you a somewhat skeptical look at this comment.
"Really? And what makes you think that I'm not from around here?" You couldn't help yourself at this point and had to tease her a little, so with a fairly innocent looking grin on your face you leaned in close to her ear and whispered so that only she could hear you. "Well you haven't exactly done a good job in hiding who you're affiliated with Ms. Revolutionary."
She quickly backed away at this and gave you a threatening glare. You held up and waved your hands saying "Hey now, calm down, your secret is safe with me." She settled down a little but continued to glare you down as you lowered your hands. "Actually I've been getting kinda desperate and while I do like my solitude I think it's about time I joined a group if I want to find my friend." you explained. She only continued to silently glare at you so you continued.
"To be honest your friends are probably my best bet. Since the World Government wants my head and pirate crews tend to be uninformed as well as for lack of a better word "unstable." Your group are the only ones who have both the information network and the clear objectives that I can trust and as both a well-connected pirate and devil fruit user I have the ability to offer my unique services whenever asked."
You seem to have caught her interest with this. She put her finger to her lip in a thoughtful gesture as she mulled this over. "Alright then, meet me at Baltigo in two weeks. I need to have a word with my boss about this first."
You chuckled "Baltigo in two weeks then, see ya later Koala."
