So you were a princess. It didn't mean anything. It wasn't your fault Apollo got drunk one night at a ball and took home Queen Delevigne of Selvia. And it also wasn't your fault you were the product of that. That's just what happened and now there you are, first day of summer and you don't even get to go to camp because you have to learn how to take care of a country.

"Head up, (Y/N), your toes cant be that interesting!" Your mother said, giggling at you. You did thank your lucky stars every day that if you had to be born royal, that she was your mother. She had a certain childish charm, able to make the best out of any situation. She was also super chill about curfews and stuff, because as she said, "Rules are like Kit-Kats. Made to be broken!"

Unfortunately though, she did have one flaw. And that was her insistence on you spending the summer and your BIRTHDAY in Selvia, instead of at Camp Half Blood with all your friends, your siblings, and you amazing boyfriend Leo! Instead you were stuck in big poofy dresses and 47 inch heels listening to the royal duties drone on and on.

Needless to say, life really sucked.

"But Mom, if I don't look down I'll trip!" You said, teetering on the heels your mother forced me to wear. It wasn't that you hated heels, on the contrary. You actually didn't mind them. But the ones you were wearing were so tall your heels were stretching, and were a size too big so your feet kept sliding.

"Hon, you were the one who picked out a ballroom dress for your birthday celebration! I told you you were going to step on it!" Your mother said, and unfortunately, you couldn't argue with her. You weren't really one for a ball gown, you were more the band crop tops and ripped jeans type, but instead of going to Hot Topic and getting the Alice In Wonderland dress you wanted, the queen insisted you go to a designer, at least to look. So you did, and unfortunately for you, you absolutely fell in love with the first thing you tried on. It was a magnificent

red ball gown with roses all the way up the corset. It was perfect.

So, because of your inability to pick a dress more equipped for a party, the royal stylist had to make due, and that meant obnoxiously high shoes.

"Okay, your done for the day. No more torture for us! Now," Queen Delevigne said, bringing her voice down to a whisper, "a little birdie told me they restocked the royal freezer with Klondike bars! Race you!" She shouted, all ready speeding down the corridors. You raced after her, giggling. Gotta love her.
(A/N I promise Leo's actually in the story, as well as the rest of the seven. This is just a drabble I wrote that I wanted to fit into the story somehow.)

You woke up the next day to the sound of your mother screaming into your ear.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Y/N)!!!! TODAY IS GONNA BE SO MUCH FUNNNNNNNNN! GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP!" she said, jumping up and down on your bed.

"Okay, okay I'm up! Geez, Mom, are you sure YOU are older than ME?" You said groggily, pushing her off your bed.

"Yep! Or else it would be my birthday! Which means I would get to keep this~" She sing-songed, presenting to you a small box with a (F/C) ribbon wrapped around it.

"PRESENTS!!! gimme gimme!" You squealed, grabbing it and ripping the box open. Inside the box was a golden heart locket, but the pendant was intertwined with rose gold flower petals and leaves. It was stunning. You opened it, only to find it was empty. You looked up at her, and she grinned.

"You'll get the pictures later... But that's all I'm gonna say!"
You smiled, lifting the pendant out of the box. Maybe spending your birthday in Selvia wouldn't be so bad.
