I Remember The Doctor

I ran as fast as I could through the bright colored trees, the biggest smile on my face, arms out, feeling like I could fly. My striped white and grey sweater fell loosely around my hips as I stopped easily. My ginger curls swirled around my head.

"Terra!" Someone called. I ignored them and let the easy autumn breeze take me away. But then it got louder. "TERRA T-E-R-R-A TERRA!!!" The man's voice called again. I looked around, and then I saw him. A young man, maybe 25, wearing a tweed jacket and a silly bowtie.

"How do you know my name?" I smiled. My British accent collided with my Scottish accent, so my words sounded garbled. He just grinned a funny little grin that made me giggle.

"Oh, Terra, you are my-" He stopped before he could finish his sentence. His grin faded and it made me uneasy. "Sorry. Um, you are one of my best friends. I have met you before. How old are you now?" He was speaking so fast I could barely understand him. I smiled brightly again. And he laughed.

"I'm thirteen. But I don't believe I've met you before... Have I?" I was very confused but the smile didn't leave my face. I didn't even know his name!

"Oh..." He looked sad. Ugh, this man was creating more emotions inside me in five minutes than in a whole month! "Well, maybe this will jog your memory." He grinned and ran towards an odd, little blue police box. He stepped inside and a big mechanical whirring started. The box began fading in and out. And it right up disappeared! I tensed up and the smile fell of my face.

But as I was going to go home, a bright light appeared to my left. I turned and the police box was rebuilding itself right in front of me! I tensed up even more, my hair blowing back behind my head. My mind started filling up to the brim with thoughts, and I suddenly remembered the man- he was The Doctor.

I had met him when I was six and my babysitter had locked me in a closet for 7 hours. The Doctor came and got me out. He told me to remember him.

I met him again when I was ten. I was at school and there was an angel statue. It kept moving. Every time it touched a kid or teacher or anyone, they would disappear. The Doctor destroyed it somehow and told me that the people were sent back or forward in time. He then told me to remember him. And he left.

And I forgot him! All these years and I forgot THE DOCTOR! How? I don't know. But he walked breezily out of the police box doors.

And I passed out.
