Chapter 11

Camila's POV

These past few months have been a roller coaster. But I'm still enjoying the ride, especially with Lauren. Everyday is just-- it isn't the same. Everyday is something new. Everyday is different..

I was really happy when Lauren asked me out to the Halloween dance a few weeks ago. Never in my entire life would I be doing these kinds of things. It's new to me.

I wen the the mall last week with the girls and I already got my outfit and mask set up, since I'm not really into the whole costume kind of thing, I'm gonna do a little bit of something simple.

The dance is next Saturday and I'm really excited! The girls didn't care what they were gonna wear to the dance, they just want to have fun. I know this dance will be worth it and the while.

About the other things going on in my life is scary.. a little bit. I wanted to know more about Austin. But the only things I do know is that he's a monster and doesn't give zero shits about anybody. He's a leader of his army.. vampire army. I think twice about everything but I try not to worry. I know he's gonna try and harm me and my family, but that's not gonna happen. My family and the people I love are important to me.

As the cold weather comes in and the fall of leaves, I get nervous because.. he's coming, soon. But I enjoy my time with the all the girls and Lauren and my family and enjoying every second of it.

I walk downstairs into the kitchen and find my parents eating and having a conversation, "Hey mom, dad." "Hey mija," my mom and dad both say. I walk to the pantry and get a mini bag of chips and walk back to the kitchen table to sit down and enjoy my time with my parents.

"Camila, mija, can you go to the store real quick and get me some things I need, I'm a little short on food," Sinuhe says.

"Yeah mom, sure just give me a list and I'll go get if for you," I said.

My mom gets a notepad and a pen and starts writing some food supplies she needs me to get.

I end up finishing my chips real quick and my mom hands over to me the list. I read through it and to see it's a pretty long list for being "short" on food, but o well.

"Alright guys I'll be right back!" I say outloud. My parents told me to be careful and walk outside to my car. I turn on the engine and put the heater on, for a bit.

BANG

"What the--" I say confused and my heart is racing. To hear a loud ass bang on top of your car.

"Hey beautiful," Lauren walks into the passenger seat with a smile on her face.

"What the fuck! You scared me!" I laugh and held my chest.

"It's me don't worry. And sorry Camz, didn't mean to scare you," Lauren replies with a giggle, "Anyways where you going?"

"I'm going food shopping for my mom and what were you doing anyway?"

"Cool, cool. Oh, and I was just tracking and I talked to Marcus and he's been giving me updates about Austin and said that since fall is already here and the leaves are thick and covering the forest, that we need to be prepared and look out. And then I saw you going into your car and why not join you," Lauren said with a cute smile wide.
