*Calum’s POV*

I rushed to her Jay Blue Ford 4x4 pickup and tossed her bag into the bed. I decided on waiting to get in until Luke got to the truck with her. I leaned against the door and admired the actual truck itself. She had been asking for a truck for Christmas for so long and when she turned 18 her parents bought it for her as a graduation present. They had saved up for years for the truck so they could pay it off in one go. Her reaction was honestly heartwarming. They decided to surprise her when she was in the basement doing catching drills.

They had blindfolded her and guided her upstairs and outside where the truck sat. They took the blindfold off and stood back. It took her about 5 minutes before she said anything or even moved she was in shock, when she turned around to face the 5 of us she was crying. Her parents thought she didn’t like it at first but once she found her voice she hugged them so tight they had to basically pry her off because they couldn’t breathe. I swear she said “Thank you” about 200 times in 2 minutes.

My thoughts were interrupted by Ashton booking it to the truck and Luke not far behind jogging. I hurried and opened the door so Luke could get her in and settled.

“How are we gonna do this? She has a shard of glass sticking out of her leg!” Luke exclaimed frantically.

*Ashton’s POV*

“Luke, calm down there bud.” I said trying to stay calm myself even though there were tears in my eyes.

“Give her to Ash and then you climb in and he’ll give her to you.” Calum started to instruct.

“But…”

“Luke. Just do it.” I half ordered. He sighed and gave Jenny to me and climbed in.

“Now what?” He asked looking down at his shirt and jeans which now had blood and red clay all over them from the diamond.

“Ash, give her to Luke. Luke grab her leg and use this to help keep the glass in place.”

We did as told and Calum got in and started the truck. I went to shut the door when Luke stopped me.

“No, stay in the back with us so she has support and doesn’t slump over.” He whispered barely audible. I nodded and climbed in the back; resting Jenny’s head on my shoulder as Calum pulled out and headed towards the hospital. We had all lost it by this time and had started to bawl. None of us being ones to cry, yet this hit hard because we had all been together for years.

*Luke’s POV*

I watched out the window, the tears now streaming down my cheeks, embarrassed to be crying because I never cried. I ran my hand aimlessly up and down her leg, not entirely sure what I was doing because she didn’t remember any of us.

God this was gonna kill them when they found out she didn’t remember anything. I hope she still remembers how to play ball.
