the bleachers outside of the baseball diamond were filled with students from liberty high as the team played their last game of the season.
elle watched jeff practice his swings before gripping the bat.
"you're not cheering. what's wrong?" alex asked, looking at his close friend.
"montgomery is a dumbass." she stated, causing alex to nod in agreement.
"we could've told you from the beginning. did you guys break up or something?" alex asked.
elle looked at him before shaking her head.
"no, we didn't break up! we just had this argument. it was our first argument, actually." elle responded. her eyes traveled back to the diamond, where she saw jeff hit a home run.
everyone in the bleachers cheered for our baseball team's star player. montgomery went up, tapping the bat against the ground.
"well, you guys will get over it. are you talking to each other?" alex asked.
"yeah, its been small kisses and simple conversation." elle said, and monty hit the ball, running to first and second base.
"the guys might win tonight which means that monty is definitely going to be in a great mood." alex said, hinting to elle. she looked at alex, and laughed.
"if monty thinks that i'm going to have sex with him tonight, he is surely mistaken." she said, scoffing.
"okay, sure." alex teased.

elle waited patiently outside of the locker room for montgomery. she watched him come out, walking with jeff. both of them were laughing and smiling.
"congrats guys!" elle smiled, mostly at jeff. jeff grinned at his friend.
"thanks, elle. hey, i'm going to go talk to clay, i'll see you guys later." jeff waved, walking off.
monty and elle stared at each other, not sure of what to say.
"hey." she stated, breaking the ice. monty sighed. he couldn't live like this. he couldn't live with elle being upset with him.
he kissed her, and her back pressed up against the uncomfortable lockers. but she didn't care, not in that moment. elle kissed montgomery back, her arms wrapping around his neck.
he gripped her waist and pulled her closer to his body, leaning into the kiss. the two remained like that for minutes until montgomery pulled away.
"i'll apologize to her. i promise that i will apologize to jasmine. just don't be mad at me." monty said, and elle nodded.
"you're turning back into the monty that i know." she smiled, kissing him one more time.
