My opinion on this ship has been a rollercoaster this month.
I started off hating it, because I thought this made Serena one of the most useless characters in the anime.
Then, I hated it more, because people started treating this ship like it's the god of all ships.
But here's my current opinion on it. It's cute and I like it. I rewatched the anime and noticed how some episodes really did focus on AmourShipping. The hints exist, and I think it's cute. Now that I think about it, it's a rather plausible ship.
Here's my problem with it. It benefits Serena more than it benefits Ash. As we all know, Ash is a critical piece to Serena's character development, and this is what makes her one of my favorite characters. But, does Ash get the same benefit like Serena? No. In my opinion, Clemont did a much better job helping Ash develop as a character. Serena gets all of AmourShipping's credits, and these credits tend to overshadow other aspects that makes Serena a great character. This is why I prefer PokéShipping over AmourShipping.
Overall, it's a lovely ship. I like it, but it's far from my favorite.
