Ash's prove
I awoke the next morning to the feeling of a fuzzy mane being rubbed against my face. I opened my eyes to see Skyy sleeping soundly on my pillow. I glanced around the room to see that neither Pops or Marinette in the room. I sighed with relief.
"Great." I thought. They must be downstairs. I looked back to the spot on my pillow where Skyy had been sleeping only to find that he wasn't there. I started to panic when I saw that the door to Marinette's porch was opened a crack. I got up and walked over to the door. I peeked outside to see Skyy sitting on the porch rail.
"Skyy! get over here! What if somebody sees you?" I said. He looked back at me with emotionless eyes.
"Who cares?" He said. He sounded so sad. I felt guilty for asking. I walked over to where he was sitting and leaned against the rail. I looked down onto the busy street below. There were people walking, cars going about there business, But what caught my attention the most was the sound of something loud overhead. I looked up to see a plane doing stunts. Suddenly, I was filled with a strong feeling of fondness. I looked back up to the plane. It reminded me of my dad. I glanced to my side to see that Skyy had also noticed the plane. I could also see that he had the same fondness in his eyes as I did looking up at that plane. It was like looking in a mirror.
"So, um, can I really fly and all that stuff?" I asked, trying to brighten the mood. Skyy looked at me, a little surprised, as if he had forgotten I was there. That quickly changed.
"Sure, whatever makes you happy, Luv." He said in his British accent. To be honest, it was actually kinda charming at first. But now it was starting to get kinda annoying. I sighed.
"Ok, what the heck is up with you? You've been acting weird ever since we've met. You barely even talk to me." I said, standing straight. He said nothing.
"If it's something I did, then just tell me. You might as well, since we're gonna be stuck together for all eternity!" I tried, throwing my arms up into the air. Skyy looked at me finally, and sighed.
"Ok, fine. You wanna know what bothers me the most? You wanna know the reason I can't think straight? It's the fact that...It's..."He paused hesitantly. I groaned.
"Just tell me already! Tell me what bothers me the most! Tell me the reason you cant think straight! Tell me why your so afraid to tell me! Just tell me-"
"Its because I'm disappointed! It's because your a girl! Your not supposed to be a girl! Your supposed to be a boy !" He said finally. I looked at him, surprised. I stuttered, not sure what I was supposed to say. He sighed.
"Ever since the first miraculous holders, the holder of the Griffin has always been a male. I should know. I've met every single one of them. Each unique in there own way. But now..." He looked at me with concerned eyes.
"Now everything's different. It's different because you don't know how to handle it. Your so used to dealing with a male miraculous holder that when you found out that I was a girl, you kinda panicked. You panicked because you weren't expecting this kind of change." I said. He looked at me, surprised.
"Exactly." He said.
"Well, can't really blame ya." I smiled.
"I mean, if I was in your position, then I'd freak out too." I laughed. Skyy smiled. I once again saw the same fondness in his eyes as I did before. He laughed.
"You know, you may be girl, but you've got exactly what every other Griffin always did have."
"Oh? And what exactly would that be?" I said.
"A sense of humor. And from what I've seen, your also pretty stupid." He teased. I smiled, and ruffled his mane.
"Ooooookay, no touching the mane, no touching the mane!" He said, pushing my fingers away. I smile, and suggested we go downstairs before somebody catches us up here.
"Ok. But no touching. 'kay?"
"Sir, yes Sir!" I saluted.
"At ease, soldier." We both laughed, and headed downstairs.
