Poppy's prove

It wasn't long before we found Ash. After we had left the bakery, Marinette suggested that we check out the park. Just as we were about to enter, I spotted a boy wearing a red jacket and black pants. In his arms was a girl that looked familiar.

"Ash? Ash!" I said as I ran up to the boy. As I got closer I realized that Ash's eyes were closed.

"Oh crap, what happened?!" I started to panic.

"Do you know her?" Asked the boy. Just then Marinette ran up to me, aware of what was going on.

"Hi Kim." Marinette said to the boy. I looked at the boy. Kim must have been his name. Kim said hello and asked what we were doing here.

"We were looking for my sister, but it looks like you already found her." I said. I put my hand against Ash's head.

"She's soaking wet! What happened?" I asked Kim. He explained that he was playing football when he had had thrown the ball really far. When he went looking for it, he had found Ash in the fountain. I looked at Ash to see a football in her hands.

"When I asked her if she was alright, she blacked out. I was on my way to the police station to see if they could get hold of her parents when you came up to me." Kim said, looking at me.

"Well, it's a good thing we caught you." Marinette explained that it was just me and Ash in Paris and that our parents were still in America. After a little more explaining, I suggested that we get going. I didn't need Ash getting sick. Not after today.

Later...

"Do you think she needs a doctor?" Kim asked as we entered the bakery. The word "Doctor" had caught the attention of Mrs. Dupain, who was attending to costumers. She excused herself and rushed towards us.

"What about a doctor? What happened?" We explained what happened and Mrs. Dupain offered to contact a doctor. Then she went back to tending costumers. Marinette guided Kim to her room and instructed him to lay Ash on her bed.

"When she wakes up, she'll need to take a shower." I said. In the corner of my eye I could see Kim, a concerned expression on his face. I told him that he didn't need to worry and that Ash was gonna be ok. I gave him a reassuring smile, even though I was a nervous wreck.

"Sorry. It's just...I don't know. I just feel like this is all my fault." He said, his eyes drooping. I felt bad for him. Just then I got an idea.

"Hey, if it makes you feel any better, next week me and Ash start school. Maybe we'll see you around?" I said, trying to cheer him up. He looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah, I hope so." he said. He looked at Ash, still a little worried.

"Well, I better go. See ya guys later." Kim said. After he had left, I asked Marinette if she had anything warm to put on Ash's forehead. She said that she would ask her mom, then disappeared down the stairs. I looked at Ash and sighed. We've been here for only a couple of days and she's already hurt herself. At least she didn't burn down anything. I started on removing her jacket when I noticed that Ash was still holding Kim's football. I took the football and placed it next to her on Marinette's bed. Then I removed her jacket, placed a blanket over her, and went downstairs to help Marinette.

 Later that night...

"Ok, would you rather eat a bug, or a really old donut?" Marinette asked with anticipation.

"Hmmmm...not sure. It depends." I said as I tapped my chin. Marinette looked at me with interest.

"It depends? How so?"

"Well, how old is the donut?" I asked.

"Oh, uhh, a week? No! Two weeks." She said smiling.

"Ok...and what kind of bug is it?"

"Does it really matter?" Marinette giggled.

"Duh! There's more than just one type of bug on the planet, Mari! Details matter!" I laughed.

"Fine! Then it's a...CENTAPEDE!" She cried.

"UGH! Old donut all the way!" We both laughed. After a couple more rounds of "Would You Rather" I checked my phone to see that it was late. Really late.

"Welp, off to bed. Night Marinette." I said, a little tired.

"Night Poppy." Marinette said as she layed her head down to rest. I glanced towards Ash.

"Night Ash." She didn't even twitch. Same old Ash. I looked to see Marinette, sound asleep.

"Night Lills." I said. Lills had been in my pocket this whole time. I scooped her up and placed her next to me.

"Night Poppy." She said. In a few seconds she was sound asleep, just like everybody else in Paris. And soon, I was too.
