Divergent

Seen: 3/20/14

Rating: PG-13

Ranking: 4.5 out of 5

Divergent is a movie based on a future world, specifically Chicago, where everyone is sorted into factions. Tris is the main character, and takes her faction test, but soon finds out that her results were inconclusive and she fits into three different factions. This is called Divergent, and it is extremely dangerous to be one since they are being hunted by Erudite, the intelligent faction. She is forced to pick one to live in and change her life forever. Watch the movie or read the book to find out which she picks and how her life is effected.

The reason I rated this movie four and a half out of five is because the casting, set, and action was extraordinary but, like usual, the book had some details that were left out.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Seen: 11/21/13

Rating: PG:13

Ranking: 4 out of 5

Catching Fire is based on the book The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, written by Suzanne Collins. In the movie Katniss and Peeta are on the Victor's Tour and travel to each District to talk about the annual Hunger Games and their way to victory. Katniss talks too much about how sorry she is for the fallen tributes which causes the Districts to go out in riots. Katniss and Peeta are forced back into the arena along with the past tributes. The arena starts off in a water setting and the past victors have to dive into the water and swim to shore, where the weapons are arranged. Once they grab their weaponry they have to run further into the land, with their team, and fight for their survival. Watch the movie, or read the series to find out the twist plot to this trilogy.

I chose this ranking for this movie because the story line was very interesting and it got me to keep watching. This sequel got me on the edge of my seat and on the verge of either laughing or crying.

Mr.Peabody and Sherman

Seen: 3/7/14

Rating: PG

Ranking: 5 out of 5

Mr. Peabody and Sherman is about a dog who is the smartest being in the world. As a puppy, he was rejected by every potential owner, leading him to devote his life to athletics, and technological discoveries. One day, he came upon an abandoned baby and legally adopted him under the name Sherman. Now a days, they travel back in time to different places in the past. They meet a girl named Penny and she goes on adventures with them. Over the course of the movie, they go to many certain places and participate in different important details in time.

I chose this ranking for the movie because it may have been the best kids movie I've ever seen. It was hilarious and very entertaining to watch.
