I Need To Know You

"I never knew I was adopted" Phil exclaimed sipping on his tea.
"I'm just really glad I found you"
I go to say more but stop when I hear the front door open.
"Phil I'm home and you won't believe what arrived in the mail, that Japanese women suit, you know the one with the big tits for that video idea" dan stops talking as his eyes meet mine. I look over at Phil and he is blushing like a clown.
"I didn't know we had guests, Phil please introduce me toooo?"

"Ahh dan this is Y/N" Phil looks down and gulps "my-my sister"

Phil's POV

"Oh Phil I didn't know you had a sister" dan adds unfazed

"Neither did I , I mean I didn't even know I was adopted " I pat y/n's leg and continue "If it wasn't for y/b coming to me about it, I would probably have ever known "

I look up at dan from my lap and see his jaw is dropped.

"Um Phil can I talk to you for a second" dan says pointing over to the hallway. I look over at Y/N as if to ask her if it's ok if I go.

I follow dan into the hallway and he turns to me seeming very angry. He takes a deep breath and tries to calmly say even though I see him grinding his teeth "Phil how did you meet this woman "

"Well I met her this morning, she came up to our front door and showed me this envelope filled with information about us being related "

I look over at dan and he does not seem convinced
"PHIL DO YOU REALISE HOW CRAZY YOU SOUND, WE DONT KNOW THIS WOMEN SHE COULD BE A SEX TRAFFICOR FOR ALL WE KNOW" dan whisper shouts in my face flinging spit in my eye, his face has turned red in rage.

"Dan trust me, she is my sister, how could anyone know all the information that is in that envelope " I try to reason with dan but he just keeps turning into darker shade of red.

"Look Phil all I know is I don't want any part of this, I hope you have fun swallowing condoms filled with cocaine to smuggle over the fucking world" dan whisper shouts all the way to his bedroom door before turning to me to spit one last thing at me before slamming his door shut "MAKE SURE YOU DONT DROP THE SOAP IN JAIL YOU TWINK"

Dan over reacted a lot and I knew he was just stressed, we had just finished writing our book which costed s most of our rest and sanity and the lack of sleep had finally caught up with dan I guess.

I brush off dans words (like the boss ass I am) and walk back into the living room.

Y/N POV

Phil walks back into the living room.
"Hey is dan ok" I ask kinda worried
"Oh yeah he's just on his man period, nothing new really" Phil responds sitting down and sipping his tea.

The way that rolled off Phil's tongue so effortlessly made me laugh, he didn't seem like the feisty type but I thought it was funny.

Y/N POV

For the rest of the day Phil and I talked about everything from our hobbies to weird birthmarks we have. The conversations we shared were like emotional roller coasters that would leave us in tears from either sadness or laughter. At the end of it we ended up having inside jokes with each other. We were best friends and I loved it.

"Shit Phil it's midnight" I laugh " I really should be getting back to my hotel room"
"Ok I will drive you" Phil giggles pulling keys out of his pocket
At this point we had gone through a whole bottle of wine and were a little tipsy.
"Phil you are not driving like this I will just walk" I giggle back pulling the keys out of his hand.
"No you can have my bed and I will sleep on the couch"
"Phil no I can't take your bed, I'll sleep on the couch"

Phil sloppily places one finger up and tells me to shush
" Look y/n because I am your brother I am saying this in your best interest, I don't want to wake up in the morning and find dan smothering you to death on the couch".

I look up in confusion "what?"

"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, dan thinks your some kind of scam artist that is trying to force feed me condoms filled with cocaine " Phil slurs as he finishes the rest of his wine glass.

I giggle at the thought of ......never mind .
"Phil I can assure you I will not force feed you condoms"

"It is much appreciated " he bows making us both giggle

After the laughter settles phil takes me to his room ,hugs me goodnight and leaves for the living room.
I sit on the bed and think to myself, for the first time in a few weeks I'm actually happy.
