Marinette woke up in a pool of drool faced down on her desk. She got up slowly as she heard the sound of the documentary still on loop."What-" Marinette said as she turned to see the clock hit 9:30.
"I'm late!" She exclaimed as she grabbed her book bag and purse and raced down the latter down into the bakery.
Marinette raced out the door and down the street and ran as fast as she could to her school.
When she finally ran up the stairs leading up to her class, she full force bunked heads with a blonde boy with beautiful green eyes, but as her eyes came into full focus again... she realized that it was her dream crush. Adrien Agreste.
Adrien grabbed his head and groaned as he too looked up at Marinette and managed to give her his best half smile.
"Are you okay?" Adrien asked.
Marinette's face blushed a deeper shade of red as she realized what she had done.
"Ah! Yes, I'm fine... S-Sorry, Adrien..." she stuttered.
Before Adrien could say anything, she quickly opened the door to class and ran inside. Just to be greeted by her teachers horrific glare.
Marinette avoided her gaze and ran to her seat.
Adrien walked in and sat down after that.
"That was so cliché. Alya whispered to Marinette.
"You saw that?" Marinette whispered back.
"There's a window on the door Mari"
"Oh."
"Ahem."
Marienette turned to see her teacher giving her one of the most terrifying looks in all of history.
Not like she can say that though. She barely pays attention in history, and any other class for that matter."You walk in here late, with no explanation on where you've been or what you've been doing. You seem to have no excuse on why we've found you here late today." The teacher said.
" Why is that Marinette? Can you explain yourself?"
Marinette couldn't speak. She felt as if she was frozen in her seat. Unable to speak. Unable to move.
"You too Mr. Agreste. Your just as guilty as Marinette here. Do-"
"Actually Miss, Mari and I were working on a project together over the phone, and we were up pretty late doing it. So we both slept in." Adrien said.
"I see, and what is this project about?" The teacher said, suspicious.
" uh.. it's about.."
"Soulmates," Alya said " Marinette told me all about it, they decided to do something a little different then usual... and its due today so, it needed to be done."
"Ah, I see. Well, you could of just told me that in the first place Marinette. I would also like to see this project. Would that be okay?"
"Ah, sure... tomorrow though. We don't get it back until the day after it's graded." Marinette said.
"Of course." The Teacher said.
"Now, going back to what I was saying..."
Marinette gave Adrien a thankful look.
"You know, now you have to show a completed project to her right?" Alya said.
Marinette leaned back into her chair and sighed.
Alya nudged her in the arm.
"Hey, at least you get to hang out with Adrien. Assuming he'll show up and do this project of yours with you, of course."
Marinette covered her mouth.
(...crap...)
