Kai's POV
The radio was on and we were all singing along. Another perk to being mermaids is that now we all have great singing voices.
Once we got home we hopped out of the car and laughed as we walked into the house. We were still laughing when we heard someone clear their throats.
I turned and on the couch was my mom and dad. They came home a week early.
"Mom. Dad. What are you doing here? Don't you still have a week in Europe?" Kyle asked crossing his arms.
"Matthew why is your hair blue? Kai why is your hair silver and is that a tattoo? Kyle is that a tattoo? How about you Melody?" Mom started yelling at us. Kyle pushed Melody, Matthew, and I behind him. I could tell he is trying to get her to stop yelling.
I turned and headed out the door. I walked through the woods till I came to the cliff. I ran down the hidden path to the lagoon.
"Kai. Kai. Where did you go? We are not finished talking about this." I could hear my dad yell. Tears were falling down my cheeks.
A twig snapped and a pair of gold eyes followed. I scooted back and felt my back hit the cliff wall. A beautiful black wolf stepped out.
The wolf whimpered and put it's head on the ground. I slowly put my hand out. The wolf nudged my hand with it's head. It even licked my hand. It tickled. I giggled when the wolf gave me a grin.
"Kai you down there?" I heard Kyle yell down from the cliff.
"Yes." I yelled back as I buried my face in the wolf's fur. The fur was silky and soft. I could feel myself drifting to sleep.
