Sorry I haven't updated. Between Synchronized Swimming, starting 9th grade, and everything else I haven't gotten to post this yet.
Melody's POV
Kyle, Matthew, and I walked back to the kitchen together. Our father just stood there with our mother hiding behind him. Kyle stood in front of us as if to protect us from our dad's temper.
Our father, Mike, had a quick temper. We were grateful when he decided to go on the vacation. Mostly because then we were spared from his beatings if we did something wrong.
Our mother, Elizabeth, never cared about us so she let Mike take his anger out on us. She always blamed us for everything.
Mike stepped forward and backhanded Kyle. His head whipped to the side. From behind me I could hear a growl. Mike didn't seem to hear it.
I opened the kitchen door slowly. The wolf that Kyle brought to the house walked into the room. Quietly the wolf moved behind Mike and Elizabeth.
Before I could blink, the wolf was replaced with a completely naked man. I recognized him from school.
Matthew's POV
'Did the wolf just turn into a human? Wait werewolves are real?' I thought.
"Werewolves!" Kyle whispered, completely forgetting about our parents.
"Were you listening, you little pieces of crap?" Mark yelled causing us to wince. The naked man decided to cough then.
"Well this is nice and all but I think it's time you calm down or get the heck out. Your starting to wake Kai with all your yelling," Wolf dude growled.
Mark and Elizabeth just scowled at him causing his eyes to turn black. We looked at each other and headed to Kai's room. I peeked inside and saw that she was rubbing her eyes.
"Hey." I whispered as I walked in. Melody and Kyle followed me. After a few minutes the wolf guy walked in as a wolf and wrapped himself around Kai in a protective but loving way.
"Hey, wolfy. Melody can you sing me a lullaby?" Kai yawned. Melody smiled slightly. She loved singing.
"Come all ye pretty fair maids wherever you may be. To love a jolly sailor bold that plows the raging sea. My heart been pierced by Cupid. I distain all glittering gold. For nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold," Melody sang as she stroked Kai's hair. She fell asleep instantly.
"Ok wolf boy. Lets have a Q and A section," Kyle said as he went to his room to get something for wolf dude to wear.
