3. MY WORST NIGHTMARE

How do u feel after a terrible nightmare??😓😓

I was tired from working all day long,

I threw myself at my bed to have a quick nap,

But my muscles ached due to the stress and strain,

So I decided to try out my best friend's advice,

"Always refresh yourself with sweet dreams and sweet memories",

Lingering in my mind was her soothing voice like a balm..

All I could see was my family and I having a good time,

We were so engrossed with our conversation & so much happiness filled the room,

Then suddenly I heard a hard bang on the door and voices murmuring,

I nearly choked on the food in my mouth and was scared as hell,

My heart was pounding so hard that I could hear my heart beat,

My mind racing through alot trying so hard not to believe the horror that was about happen,

I tried so hard to run but my feet betrayed me ,

It was then I realised the room was silent,

My family was nowhere to be seen except my brave father signalling silence,

His eyes red hot and fuming with anger he rushed to the door,

Fear gripped me as I felt a hand pulling me inside a dark room,

I nearly ran mad thinking about what was about to befall my family,

It was until I heard my mom's stammering voice I knew I was safe,

Looking through the window,I saw my dad ready to fight,

He looked in our direction and whispered " I LOVE YOU "...

It was then I dawned on me that he was in danger ,

Right there I saw a man about to hit my dad with a rod,

I shouted with all my strength but no words came out,

I screamed in horror as I watched my dad fall on the ground,

I kept screaming till I felt very weak and suddenly I woke up to reality,

A shiver ran through my spine as I thought of the dream,

A drop of tear escaped my eye and was followed by a gentle sob,

I thanked God for making it a dream and it was right there I realised how much I loved my family..😫😖😖..
