The Confessions -- P3

Luke's POV

I can tell that Ashton likes Kelly. I see the way he looks at her. And when he almost kissed her before 2nd period yesterday?! I have to make sure that Ashton doesn't try to do anything stupid, like kiss her. Which is why I told Kelly that she's mine. All. Mine.

So if Ashton tries to pull anything, even though he's my best friend, I won't hesitate to beat the living shit out of him. I can find a new drummer for our band, 5 Seconds of Summer.

Which is why I start considering who in 1st period. Because when I look over Ashton's shoulder in class, guess who he's texting. Kelly. It looks like he asked her if she wanted to go to dinner tonight at some fancy restaurant. "Please say no, please say no" I think. Damn it. She said "Sure!" With a blue heart emoji. I have to grip my chair so I don't come across this desk and wipe that smirk off his face. He's picking her up at 6 pm. Her place. I mentally snort. Kelly's mum won't approve of him much more than she does of me. In fact, she'd probably rather have me date Kelly than Ash. And that says a lot, cos Kelly's mum despises me. I scribble down the "date" information in my spiral.

Place: Olive Garden
Time: 6 pm
Occasion: Dinner

I rip the section out of my spiral and put the paper in my backpack. I have this "secret pocket" that I put semi secret stuff in. It's hidden from view pretty damn well. It holds 3 condoms (better safe then pregnant), a pack of gum, and the piece of paper.

When the bell rings, I practically fly to my locker. I know Kelly will be there. When I get there, she is just unlocking her door. "Hey, Kelly." I say. "Hey" she replies. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out tonight after school? I can pick you up at 6 and we can go eat or something" I ask casually. This catches her attention. "Oh. Um, well, maybe tomorrow. I, uh, already have a bunch of homework and we haven't even gotten into 2nd period" she says, blushing and giving a nervous chuckle at the end. "Oh, well I can help you. I'm pretty good, actually" I say. It's true. I'm (surprisingly) an honor roll student. "N-no. I'm good." She says. "Okay, that's cool. Tomorrow then?" I ask. "Yeah, tomorrow" she says, seeming a bit too eager to change the subject. "Good luck on the Chem test" I say, walking off. Hope Ashton fails. I run off to my next class.

Ashton's POV

Fuck yes! 2nd day of school and I already have a date with Kelly. We are going to Olive Garden tonight at 6 for dinner. Maybe after we leave we can head back to my place and get dessert.

I make really good homemade brownies.

I walk out of 1st period and head to Chemistry when the bell rings.

Don't judge me, but Kelly has a really interesting life. I prefer to call it researching. Stalking is such an ugly word.

I stand by the corner and watch Kelly. Luke runs up to her and asks her if she can hang out tonight. Obviously, she turns him down. But she didn't tell him that she's going out with me. Hmmm. I smirk knowing that I beat Luke to asking her. When Kelly walks up to me, I'm still standing there. "Um, hey" she says. "Hey" I reply. We walk to Chem together.

When we get to class, I look around me and see Luke standing there by the corner, watching us. He's staring at Kelly. He doesn't know I saw him. I peck Kelly on the lips before rushing to our table. I hope Luke saw that. Kelly sits next to me. I notice that she's blushing. "Excited for tonight?" I ask her. "Uh yeah" she says, still blushing.

Luke's POV

I get really mad when I see Ashton kiss Kelly. When the bell rings, I remember it's my study hall. Good. So basically it's a free period. The teacher is never in the room for attendance. Well, he is, but he sleeps throughout the whole class. I walk up to the Chemistry door and walk in.

"Can I help you, Luke?" The teacher asks me. "Mr. Burns asked for me to bring Ashton Irwin into his room." I say, obviously lying. "Will he need his stuff?" Teacher asks. I shake my head no. She looks over at Ashton and nods for him to go with me. He gets up and walks out of the room. We walk down the hall towards Mr. Burns' room. When we pass the janitors closet, I pull Ashton in with me. I lock the door behind us.

"Listen. If you ever kiss Kelly again, I'll make sure that you end up in the ER. I know what you've done to past girlfriends, and your not gonna do that to Kelly." I say through clenched teeth. He smirks.

"Well what do I do to past girlfriends?" He asks me. I glare at him. "You gain their trust and when they suspect nothing bad from you, you rape them" I say. He acts shocked. "Oh really? Fuck off, Luke." He says. Ashton then walks out before I can speak.
