Ava's pov:
I couldn't believe what just happened. I kissed nick!
As soon as I felt his lips on mine, I felt almost disgusted. I knew it wasn't right and thanks to a loud noise, the kiss was kept short.
After mine and Nicks encounter he just left, which was odd. He didn't say anything and just left me frozen.
After thinking about the kiss for a while, I had to run to class because I was late.
When I walked into the room, Jace was nowhere to be found. Hmm weird.
Well I guess my plan will have to wait until tomorrow.

It was now lunch time, so I went to the table where we always sit.
I said hi to Jeanette and Ashley, and began eating my lunch.
All of a sudden the cafeteria doors flew open and in came a furious nick.
He began walking towards me and I noticed he had a few bruises and a busted lip.
Once he got to my table he started yelling all these cuss words.
"Ava what the hell is your boyfriend's problem?!?" Nick screamed in my face.
"Wha-what are you talking about?... I don't have a boyfriend." I kind of stuttered.
"Oh really?!? Then why did some guy practically jump me because I kissed you?". "Look Nick I don't know who jumped you, but I can assure you it was not my boyfriend." I said in a stern voice.
"Whatever, I don't even know why I said I wanted you back. You're just a slut who doesn't know how to kiss." Nick spat.
At this point everyone in the cafeteria was looking at me and Nick.
People looked at me, waiting for me to shoot back at Nick. I was at a loss for words, when an unexpected voice joined our conversation.
"You really shouldn't be talking. I heard you always get dumped because you kiss like a three year-old ."Jace said with a smirk.
I decided to build on Jaces remark.
"That's true, in fact Nick aren't I the one who taught you how to kiss because you wanted to become better?" I said in a matter-of-fact voice.
The whole cafeteria erupted in a fit of laughter and I felt satisfied with myself.
Nick said a few more cuss words before storming out of the cafeteria.
I turned to face Jace and then I thought, why did Jace help me? I thought I disgusted him?
Who "jumped" Nick? Was it Jace? All these questions popped into my head, but the only way to get an answer was to ask.
"Why did you help me back there?" I asked Jace.
"Because you needed it" Jace said with a straight face.
"I thought I disgusted you and you wanted to stay away from me?" I said rather annoyed.
"Look Ava we can talk about this, but not here". "Why not? ... Are you embarrassed to be seen talking to me or something?" I spat crossing my arms.
"No, I would never be embarrassed to be seen with you." Jace replied seriousness clearly in his voice.
Jace's words surprised me and I muttered an ok, before saying with more strength "Ok, where can we talk?" "Meet me at my car after school, I'll take us somewhere private." he said.
