The man with skin as white as snow and hair as brown as bark kept running, dodging tree after tree. He took a quick glance at the sky and saw Ares' fiery red chariot flying up in the sky chasing him. He held the blanket closer to his chest. He had one mission, given to him by queen Isabel herself.
"Protect the child. Protect the child." He repeated over and over. He quickly glanced up again and was shocked to find that Ares' chariot was no longer chasing him. He quickly concentrated on running , but all of a sudden a lightning bolt came crashing infront of him. The child started to cry in his arms at the sound of the lightning bolt. The shushed the child and tried rocking her to sleep.
As soon as the smoke from the bolt dissolved the king of the hods himself stepped out wearing nothing but the traditional chiffon skirt. He held another lightning bolt in his hand and a celestial bronze dagger that had the blood of queen Isabel dripping from it.
"Give me the child V-"
I quickly sat up from my bed and started panting. It was as if I was the one running. I've been having the same dream since I was 13. It started when I was 5 but it went away. Back then all I could remember from the dream was running, but as I got older the dream became more lucid, more realistic. I looked to my left and found that my alarm clock had woken me up. I growled in anger. I've been doing that a lot lately, I may need to get throat checked.
"I was so close to figuring out his name, you stupid, metallic object." Out of anger I furiously grabbed the piece of garbage and flung it across the room. It smashed on impact and it's little pieces crumbled to the ground. I know, I have anger issues.
Not long after I smashed my clock Sebastian came running into the room. Sebastian was my very own vampire butler. Kidding, he was my guardian. After my parents died in a werewolf attack Sebastian found me in the woods and raised me. He taught me all about the different kinds of creatura dei, which was latin for creature of god. In the entire world there are six kinds of creatura dei, witch, werewolf, vampire, siren, demon, and fairy.
"You broke another one?" He sighed running a hand through his black hair. He opened his eyes to reveal his tired, yet piercing silver eyes.
"I was a millisecond away from finding out his name." I huffed, brought my knees to my chest and rested my chin on them.
I heard Basti sigh from beside me and felt the bed dip. "What did you find out this time?"
"It was Zeus, he said 'Give me the child V-', then the stupid machine woke me up. There a million names starting with V." I threw my hands up and growled.
"You should stop trying to look for them. What if they left you for a reason?" Basti stated.
"I know that they left me for a reason, and I know what that reason is. I just...It would be nice to know who the hell they are." I said. I know why they left me, the dreams wouldn't let me forget. "I just that if I know who they are I'll know more about myself. I feel hollow, Basti. I feel lost." I cried. I cried because I meant it when I said I felt hollow. You know the saying: it's impossible to know where you're going if you don't know where you came from. I take that saying to heart.
"Come on. You'll figure it out soon, but for now. You have school." I groaned and got up. I thought nothing else could be worse then school, and that is when I accidentally stepped on a piece of my, or what used to be, alarm clock.
"Ow." I hissed and clutched my foot. It was small, but it bled. Oh shit. I snapped my eyes up to Sebastian and saw his eyes go blood red. "Sebastian." I growled out in warning. Since Sebastian was a vampire of course he has to feed, but most times, being the thick headed idiot he was, just drinks wine to quench his thirst for blood.
"I'm sorry. Here." He tossed my keys to my Suzuki GSXR 750 K7 and ran out of the room. I sighed out in relief. When I was younger I would accidentally scratch myself and blood would spill put of my wounds, back then Sebastian couldn't control himself. Let's just say most nights I carry my machete to sleep.
I got out of the shower, dried off and got dressed. I wore my favorite black crop top, my overalls that had a beautiful rose design on one side, my leather jacket, and black chocker. Since, I felt like something was missing in my outfit I wore my rose earrings. I ran down the stairs slipped into my lace up boots that also had a rose design on them, grabbed my bag and rushed outside. I started my bike and drove off.
When I got closer to the school I saw fairies flying above me, werewolves shifting back to their human form, and sirens jumping out of the sea. Let's not forget the witches and demons that teleported to the front, oh, and the vampires hiding in the shade not wanting to get sunburnt.
I parked my bike and as soon as took my helmet off all of dei looked at me with disgust, coming from those who disliked humans, lust, from the horny ones, and thirst, obviously from the vampires.
Just another day at Monster Academy.
