Chapter Four

The next day the boys decided it would be a good idea to show me around London since I would be living there from now on. I woke up bright and early so that I had time to get ready, I chose my outfit the night before which made everything a lot easier. I went for a cosy mint green sweater which had a white Peter Pan collar and some white skinny jeans from topshop. I applied light makeup with a peach lipstick and topped the outfit off with my new Ted Baker bag. I made my way downstairs with five minutes to spare. I couldn't help but poke my head around Nathan's open door, he was choosing a beanie to wear, I personally liked the grey one but I wasn't going to let him know that I was spying on him and so I carried on walking.

All of the boys were sat around the table when I got downstairs, "you sure took your time" jay said as he saw me walking in, "um excuse me, I'm actually a few minutes early thank you very much" I argued. "You're almost as bad as Nath for being late" he said, before I could reply Siva interrupted me "speaking of Nath he's just text me, he's ill so he's not able to make it and he doesn't want to chance giving us anything by coming down" well that's funny he was fine a minute ago, I wonder what made him change his mind. Regardless, I didn't take much notice of it and followed the boys to the car. Ok that was a lie, maybe I did take much notice of it. Is it because of what happened last night? I couldn't stop thinking about it all night; the way his breath felt on my neck, everything.

"And this is where we like to come write music sometimes; looking out across the river with the hot sun on your neck, what else could you want?" Tom said as we approached a cute meadow with a river "it's really calm here" I said, "I like to come here to think about mum sometimes" Tom whispered, I could tell that he was close to tears and I felt a lump form in my throat, I guess the other lads noticed as well because they quickly changed the subject, "Where to now then?" one of them said.

We spent the next four hours travelling around London, I never knew how pretty it could be. We visited the zoo, a museum and a massive shopping centre as well as a few more rivers and such. The car journey home consisted of 'I Spy' and bad jokes from Max, it couldn't have gone any slower. Finally we got home and collapsed on the sofa, nothing in the house was different so it looks like Nathan really did stay in his room the whole time. "How about we all go out for dinner tonight? The girlfriends too" Max suggested, everybody seemed to jump at the idea but I personally was so tired from our trip around London that I wasn't really feeling it, "well okay you can stay here with Nath, we won't be long" Tom said. Great. I forgot that Nathan would be here as well.

An hour later; the boys were gone and I decided to watch loads of chick flicks. I soon got bored and searched the kitchen for something to cook, I found enough ingredients to make Spaghetti Bolognese for both me and Nathan, I hope he likes it because that's literally all there is. Soon enough the food was cooked and I carried Nathan's up to him on a tray, his room was silent as I knocked on the door. His voice broke the silence, "come in". He was sat on the end of his bed looking at the floor, "hey I made you some dinner since the boys have gone out for the night" a smile crept onto his face as I put the tray near his feet. "So are you going to tell me why you didn't come today?" I asked, "I was ill" he was acting dumb. "Look Nathan I know you weren't ill, was it last night?" there was silence between us, "right then" I got up and headed towards the door, "Shannon wait!" he called out and patted the space beside him on the bed, gesturing for me to sit there.

"The reason I didn't want to come was because I needed some time to myself, some time to think about things" he said making no eye contact with me whatsoever, "what kind of things?" I asked, "anything. everything. you name it" there was silence between us, "look Shannon, can I take you somewhere?" I was confused, "where?" he grabbed me by the hand and took me downstairs completely forgetting about the dinner I had made him, "you'll see" was all he said as we literally ran out of the front door and hopped onto his car.
