Feisty reunion
"Nando's?" Lee complains outside the restaurant, "I perform in front of a thousand fans and your treat for me is Nando's? I know I might seem confident on stage, but it's a lot more nerve racking than it looks. I was expecting something a little more thoughtful, Cass."
Cassidy rolls her eyes and we follow behind as she finds us a table of six.
"Who else is coming?" I ask taking the seat beside her, discreetly hoping it's the rest of Lee's band. I have to admit, Fleet is pretty hot. I swear I've come in counter with about ten good-looking guys since I arrived.
Much to my fortune she replied with, "The rest of the band, they'll be coming soon."
"You did awesome, Leo." I compliment, a little dubious. He really did do great, but my ears won't stop ringing while reminiscing on the deafening squeals.
"Thanks, buttercup. Were we hot enough, for you?" My cheeks can't help but flush at his rhetorical question. At least, I hope it was rhetorical, because embarrassment turned the answer into ashes.
Before I could reply, my head, and every other head in this restaurant, hastily turn to watch three men, with built bodies and clothes similar to Lee - classy jeans and a polo shirt - slam the glass doors in awe.
I instantly recognise them as they walk over towards my direction. Our direction, I mean.
The tallest one takes the seat next to me, giving me one of them boyish head nods gravely. His hair is the darkest shade of brown possible and he has the most perfect, green glistening blue eyes.
Anxiously, I sit up straight and try to shuffle as far away from him as I can without making it obvious, so I can maybe breathe like a normal person, rather than hyperventilate over a his looks.
"What is everyone buying? I think I'm getting the Caesar salad." Cass asks, breaking the vague silence.
"Since you're paying for me, I'll get the chicken special. Thanks sis." Lee says, giving Cass a teasing wink.
After reading through the menu, I reach for my bag, only to be reminded that some arsehole took it with him.
"I'm not getting anything." I exclaim, disappointed. Suddenly I feel extremely stupid sitting here, at a restaurant, with no money. Like, I'm intruding on something that I shouldn't be included in.
"Why not?!" Lee asks, almost sincerely.
"I... um- forgot my bag." I bite my lip nervously as my cheeks redden with embarrassment.
"I'll pay for you." I'm surprised to hear a deep voice coming from the seat beside me.
"What? No- um... its fine, I was going to leave soon anyway." I reply, my stupid stomach finding this moment now to rumble in hunger.
He chuckles scarcely, “Sorry, I should have introduced myself. I'm River. This is Tristan and Noah." His hand splays between himself and the two other men.
River?
Tristan?
Noah?
Can names possibly get any hotter?
No offence, Lee.
I waved awkwardly to the other boys, who smiled genuinely in return.
"I-I'm Alana, you can call me Alan. Or- or Ana?” I sputter, my words faltering with nervousness. Ana? Where the hell did that come from? I have never been called Ana in my life, oh God.
