Nemo
Cole's P.O.V
Saved by the bell, I think when Alana walks over to the door. My auntie was the only relative I could tolerate. When my parents left, Landen and her took me in as their own children, but when she died things started to change. Landen went mad, so Emily was a bawling baby with no mother and a crazed father. The night when Landen came back drunk out of his mind and forgot all about Emily, I decided to put some sense into him. It worked, and when he put things back in track I decided to leave, leave as in follow the path my Dad took.
"Hey Landen. Why did you ring the bell?" Alana greets, snapping me out of thought.
"Hello. I rang just incase you were busy..." He walks in and his eyebrow raises when he spots me, "and it looks like you are. I didn't know you two knew each other?"
I opened my mouth to speak but Alana beats me to it, "we don't. He wanted to talk to you, so I said I'll wait here with him until you get back."
Ouch.
Landen's eyes widen but he nods, let's just say I haven't been here in a while. "OK. Where were you going?"
"Oh.." She glances at me and I glare at her, "I have a date... Bye." She walks through the door before any of us could stop her.
Landen and I exchange skeptical glances. "Do you know who she is going with?"
I shrug, "how would I know? We met five minutes ago." I couldn't help the malicious tone that traced my words.
"Cole, I've known you both since you were kids. Don't you think I would know whether you were lying or not?" He exclaims and chuckles bitterly.
Why isn't this awkward? We haven't seen each other in ages. I guess it does feel a bit good to be talking to family.
"She's with Will." I admit, leaving the part about the bet and necklace out.
Landen's expression is panicked, "Will... he's in your father's gang? Oh no, no, no, no, no." He shakes his head in thought and I don't reply because it doesn't seem like he is talking to me. "Her Dad is going to kill me. Does he know?"
"No idea."
"Good... I- I have to go." He opens the door but I seize his arm.
"Where? And what about Emily? I'm not going to let you forget her again."
Guilt flashes through his eyes, "Emily is at school. I need to go though, this is important, I swear. I'm not sure when Alana will get back, so you can pick Emi up, right?... Thanks, she finishes in an hour." His gone before I have the chance to protest.
The main question that lingers in the air is, why does my father and her's hate each other?

"You look beautiful." Will compliments when I approach the table he is already seated in.
I glance down at my outfit shyly, then shift my gaze over to his jeans and tank top. His chest and arms were so built the top he wore seemed small, proffering his only tattoo.
"You look pretty good, too." I reply, flashing a possibly flirtatious smile as I take a seat.
His eyes travel down to my chest and I blush then cross my arms, first Cole and now him?
"Sorry I'm late. How long were you waiting?" I'm not late, actually, it's exactly 3.
"Not long, I just thought I'd come early to reserve a table."
"That's sweet of you." I compliment politely. The side of his neck turns pink at my comment.
The rest of the afternoon went by fast. Not the kind of fast that meant I spent my time ogling over Will during the whole date, but because we did many things to keep us occupied. I had fun, I promise you that, although it didn't seem like... a date. We played games, got to know each other and became even better friends. I'm just praying that the feeling is mutual before I admit this to him.
We arrived at Landen's house and Will amiably walked me to the door, walking casually by my side.
"I had fun." I smile at him when we reach the door. Tell him! Tell him that you don't want to go out again.
"No you didn't." He chuckles heartedly, his eyes glistening at my reaction.
"Huh?"
"Admit it. This was the most awkward date you've ever had." He grins knowingly, running his hand through his hair.
I can't suppress my own grin as it forms, thank God. "Friends?" I enquire, my gaze wide with hope.
He smiles, "friends."

I am standing in hell, I decide as I watch the miniature devils swarm around me with curious eyes. Where the heck is Emily?
"Why did you draw a flower on your arm?" A stupid kid asks in an annoying falsetto tone.
"Because he's a girl! He likes flowers! He likes flowers! Emily's friend is gay!!" Some other stupid kid chants and the rest laugh, I have to remind myself that for the sake of Emily's future, I can't strangle any one of these stupid kids.
"Kid, you want me to tell you a story?" my voice hovers over the children as they wait silently for me to continue. "Have you ever heard of the one called: 'The Fi-Boy That Misbehaved?"
They all shake their heads simultaneously at the nonsense spilling from my mouth, "well, there was once this young boy who never listened or did what he was told to do. One day, he was swi-walking to school when he saw something cool, the thing was behind the fences where it was out of bounds, but the rebellious fi-kid still decided to pick it up. Do you want to know what happened when he went up to it?" With a positive response, I continue, "the 'cool thing' turned out to be a person and stran-stole the kid then took him to a far away place where no one could find him for ages and a creepy evil girl wanted to kill him."
Their eyes all go wide, and just in time Emily joins me and we turn away.
"What took you so long?" I ask, surprising her by pulling her in an embrace.
"Cole! I missed you!" She grins at me and I realise Emily is the only child I could ever tolerate.
"Me too, Emi." She takes my hand as we start walking away, leaving the still-wide eyed devils staring after us.
"Wait a minute, that was Nemo!" A girl screams behind me. "Liar!"
Quickly, I grab Emily and hurry away from the angry kids catching up to us.
(A/N: I am so so sorry for the extremely long wait. Exams are coming and I've been studying... And yeah, school is keeping me away from my more important priorities. I also thought you should know that I've been considering ditching this story. I just don't feel like I have enough motivation to continue anymore.)

Dla nastolatków"Do you love him?" The question repeats thoroughly in my mind. A tough question, not only because I'm unsure, but because there is kind of a lot of pressure right now. "Yes, yes I love him! Now please... stop." My voice is hollow, refusing my plead...
