This chapter contains discussion on rape and abuse, please don't read if it brings you trauma.

Over the time that I have been reading stories on Wattpad one thing that has been very common is the romanticization of rape and abusive relationships, be it verbal or physical.

As a girl is quite sad to see that the stories which are majorly written by people of my own gender find assault romantic. I don't know why teenage girls find being assaulted by a good looking man romantic.

So basically you're telling me that if the man who molested you is handsome and rich ('cause that's all the rage on wattpad) it's okay? Cool.

Sadly or may I say luckily some of us have dignity (Surprise?!) So yeah even if the person who molested us happens to be good looking, we stand our ground irrespective of the molester's bank account.

According to Wattpad and teenage standards,

Nothing is romantic about abuse, be it verbal or physical

Nothing is romantic about abuse, be it verbal or physical. Young people read such crap and when an incident similar to that happens in the real life, THEY LET IT FUCKING PASS. I get it, it's fiction you can write anything that you want but at least keep some morale.

I'll give you an example from a book I read like two weeks ago

I'll give you an example from a book I read like two weeks ago. It was (as you've guessed) a cliché book so I don't know what happened after this scene, I lost a little respect for teenage writers.

So this is how it goes...

The girl as usual is the weak one of the pack who is bruised and beaten. Her mate, also as usual is the Alpha's son, who also as usual is busy fucking another chick. They meet, they realize they're mates, he rejects her and she is prohibited from entering his room ('cause she's the maid and crap) but one time her wolf takes over blah blah she does some shit and now isn't allowed into the pack, like not banished but she shall live at the periphery only. Next she has to go to the adjacent town to serve her punishment, guess what is her punishment? Arranging books, yes you read that right, a pack that beats up our dear little girl gives such punishments. How ....I don't know what to say. So as she is returning back someone grabs her and makes her unconscious. She wakes up to realize that she has been raped. She sleeps/faints again. Next, she wakes up at an empty road where her culprit has thrown her. She goes back to the woods.

Next day her mate comes and realizes that she has "lost her virtue" he gets angry blah blah tells her to run because his wolf is about to lose it. (Btw why didn't your wolf "lose it" when you were screwing around?) Never mind that, she runs, he runs, he's on top of her and she goes like "no not again" and he's like whoa what, she recites the incident and he's like if he came inside of you I can smell him so he shoves his nose and smells and then...he decides to lick her because I don't know and that bitch likes it!

I'll let you be the judge of that, no comments.

I also have read another book, it won't be as long as the earlier description, it's your typical mafia-kidnaps-the-girl book. So the protagonist is a drug dealer, murderer, kidnapper, rapist, etc. He kidnaps two girls, who obviously are best friends, rapes the female protagonist and then the mafia's dude comes in and explains that his childhood was hard and his sister was raped and hence he got the license to ruin other lives.

So basically every rapist, murderer, molester, kidnapper, thief, criminal, etc should be left open because "dark past"? Cool.

Suddenly I'm realizing why teenage girls and women in general are often stereotyped as dumb :D

Some of us are smart dude, some females here luckily are aware of the times and have self-respect and brains, dunno about the rest bruh.

I live in India, molestation, eve-teasing, rape and abuse are not surprising any more, I mean a girl who is like five was raped in the next block by the Maulana who taught her to read the Quran, yes. (No I'm not pointing out to the religion) It's an everyday thing, doesn't matter if you're "good looking" or not, men will look at you as you're a sexual object and women will call you names if you raise your voice against it. Obviously it does not apply to all, luckily some people have morals!

It feels disgusting even to be looked upon like that, like a cheap person who anyone can come and use as per their will. Then there are girls who feel that just because he's the love interest he can disrespect the woman and get away with it (technically he does so...)

Again there's this thing "If a boy teases you, he likes you"

BITCH RAISE YOUR STANDARDS AND STOP BEING SUCH A DESPERATE SLUT.
