CHAPTER NINE

Story Note: "Don't trust anyone."

PLEASE READ THE AUTHOR'S NOTE AFTER THIS CHAPTER. IT IS AT THE VERY BOTTOM. THANK YOU.

OKAY. THAT IS ALL. ENJOY.

Scarlet's POV

My face forms up into a scowl. Not again. I've simply had enough of these dreams, all these weird noises...all of it. What were all these events trying to force upon me? I haven't even stayed here for that long and somebody's already threatening me. Threatening. Isn't it a tad bit psychotic? I just moved in here for not more than 4 days and somebody is already giving me a threat. A threat.

And you know what? I'm tired of this. Whoever it was who got into our house last night can kiss my ass because I am going to enjoy my last few months of being a high school student and of course, of staying here. The ghost who thinks it's so decent to be stalking me on a daily basis here at home can kiss my ass too. It should be none of my concern if it wants to scare me off or something. I'm not going anywhere and basically, I have no choice either. It wasn't my choice to begin with of coming to live here. But no matter.

I hopped off my bed and shrugged away the fact that my dream seemed very much realistic yet again. All of this was very much overwhelming to a 17-year old girl who just moved in here. Frightening, as well. But again, they can all kiss my ass.

I was going to enjoy today. Push away all of these supernatural stuff that's going on. At least it wasn't like those in Paranormal Activity movies, right? I'd be damned if I was going to be dragged all the way down the staircase. Uh-uh, no way.

At least nothing that extreme has happened. Yet. I shudder. I have no wishes for something like that to happen, ever.

But, as I set that aside, I should just welcome today with open arms. And speaking of today, I'm gonna get me some head quarterback.

NO ONE'S POV

Second day of school. So far, so good for Scarlet. She didn't feel anything out of the ordinary this morning. No more tuds or weird noises. She wished it would just stay like that and hopefully the dreams will come to an end too.

When she got to school, Tyler winked at her when he passed by her. He even texted her saying,

From: Tyler x

See ya later. ;)

"That wink." She said to herself. Her inner self blushed at that. But she held it in. Kept her shit together, put it in place. She didn't want other people thinking she was an easy catch. After what happened with Josh, Scarlet always wanted to know what it felt like to be with someone again. But she wasn't desperate. Not even close. He'll come one day, she says to herself.

She has a few classes spent with the girls. But more with Tiffany. Tiffany and her are getting more closer. Reminds her of her days with her old friends back at their old home. But maybe there were too many bad memories there that she'd rather forget about and move on.

It was lunch time and Tiffany were on their way out together; laughing their heads off at a joke Tiffany said about one of their professors. When all of a sudden,

Crash. Bang.

"What was that?" Scarlet asked Tiffany, horripilate.

A crowd of students were seen all squeezed into each other from the large number all standing in the spot, watching a scenario in the hallway. The two ran along with the other students wanting to catch a glimpse of what was happening.
