Steven and Pink Diamond are Friends!?

"Hey guys!"

"Steven where have you been? Are you alright? Did she hurt you? We know about Pink Diamond, the woman you were with at that donut shop," Pearl said hugging Steven with tears falling down her face and checking him over for any wounds.

"Steven tell us where she is so we can go end this!" Pearl said pulling her spear out with the determination to protect Steven.

"No! Don't hurt her! She's my friend." The gems couldn't believe what they were hearing. Steven was actually defending her, and befriending her.

"I'm ok guys. She didn't hurt me. All we did was talk".

"She talked to you? What did she say?" Garnet asked.

"Well, she, wait, how did you know about Pink Diamond?"

"One of your friends with funky hair came by with a video camera and footage of you two talking," Amethyst explained.

"Oh, that was Ronaldo. I asked him not to tell you. I said I would tell you myself, but I guess he didn't listen to me". Steven said disappointed that Ronaldo decided to go against his word and deny Steven the first chance to explain.

"What? Why would you tell him not to tell us? Why didn't you tell us?"

"Pink Diamond said she wanted to talk to me to explain why my mom didn't shatter her. Back at the donut shop she said some crazy things. At first I didn't believe her. They sounded impossible. After seeing Ronaldo with his camera she got uncomfortable and asked me to meet her at the barn in an hour to explain further. She was allowing me some time to think about things and have the opportunity to talk with you. After an hour I decided to meet with her to get to the bottom of things".

*Steven proceeded to tell the Crystal Gems everything Pink Diamond had told him.

Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst stood there with their mouths open in disbelief and shock almost the entire time Steven was talking.

"I. I ah..," Pearl mumbled.

"Hmm. If this is true why didn't Rose tell us?" Garnet wondered.

"Isn't it obvious. She was worried about how we would react. Considering how we've been acting since we found out she was here maybe Rose was right to keep it from us.

"There's something else you guys should know. She told me to tell you that she wants to talk with all of you at the barn. She said the Earth was in danger".
