Josh's p.o.v.
After Emma practically grabbed the phone from me, she turned around and answered the person on the phone
"What do you want Evan?!" she sounded frustrated as she made her way into another room, a few moments later I hear her yell out "Stop it Evan! I told you to stop calling me" she sounded really annoyed with the person, I could tell she was trying to keep quiet but that wasn't working since I could hear her really.
I got surprised to hear a really angry Emma "BECAUSE OF THIS! BECAUSE YOU KEEP CALLING ME WHEN I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE!" She sounded really annoyed with this Evan person, but I could also tell from her voice that she was broken and hurt.
A few moments later I see Emma walking out of the other room, I could clearly tell she was crying, her mascara was smudged a little, and her eyes were glossy. Even her face told me she was hurt.
"Emma, are you okay?" I ask her "yeah I'm fine" she tells me "it's nothing" which I knew was a lie as she fake smiled, although I only have known her for less than 30 minutes, her smile wasn't real, her eyes didn't light up like how it did when she laughed about my hatred of bananas.
"Who was that? Do you what to talk about it" I asked trying to show her that I really did care about her since she didn't look convinced that I was worried.
"No, it's fine, nothing important" she lies again. I wanted to show her that I care about her, which I really did even though I just met her, there was something about her, I don't know what it was but I knew that I wanted to get to know her more.
I was going to say something until she interrupted me "It's getting late, and I need to sleep, I think you should go now" she says.
Ouch did she just really ask me to leave? I get that she wants to be alone but I really wanted to help her, to be there for her.
"oh... yeah I'll see you later then" was all I could say trying to hide the fact that I was sad that she didn't want me to be there "bye" I quietly say as I walk towards the door, "bye" I heard her voice cracked, as I closed the door behind me.
