Chapter 11: Mind Reading

*Jen's POV*

"Give me the damn phone." I told kevin. I took the phone as we all headed toward my jet. We took off in no time.

"Mind giving us an update?" James asked irratated.

"Mind giving me a little time?" i asked back. He growed and took a step closer to me. He rolled his eyes. I finished reading the age. "Kevin can i talk to you about something really quick?" i asked.

"OK." he repiled. I led him to a room in in the jet. IT was sound proof, like every other room in the jet.

"What does this pack have to do with you?" i asked.

"What the hell?" he asked me back. I knew what he ment, how do you know? I didn't answer. "They we're a family i met years ago. I dated their oldest daughter. She cheated and i left. I know I couldn't handle it so i left." HE started to tear up.

"You don't have to tell me." i assured him.

"You are going be the only one to understand. You've been through things harder than this." he started. "We had a thing going on. My family joined the pack for about a month. Then we met for the first time. We caught on. We hung out more, and about 2 months after getting to know each other we I finally got the nerve to ask her out. We dated for about a year. I was coming home from foot ball practice early. I walked to her room. We never knocked when seeing each other. I found her on her bed kissing another guy. He didn't have a shirt or pants on just boxers. She was only wearing her underwear. Her bra and everything was off. I didn't say anything. I just stood there. Then she noticed me stand there. She pushed him off. And said he was trying to rape her. I stood there and looked at her in the eyes. I told her stop fucking lying. And i broke up with her. She was everything i wanted, but she wasn't Hailey." He said all in a long breathe.

I looked at him.

And read his mind, I loved her. Not as much as Hailey but i did. Or i use to.

"What the fuck?" i asked my self. My wolf knew and said, Jen clam down. Mates sometime get new power after a time period. You are special so you get new powers when you need them.

But remember this they may come at bad time but they never leave after they come. She said wisely.

"Jen i thought you would understand." he siad disappointed.

"Kevin No, no. I didn't mean that. It wasn't for you it was for my wolf." i said. I looked at him again. And he believed me. "So does Hailey know about this?" i asked.

"No yet." he said.

"Yet?" i asked.

"I'm planning to tell her." he said. I knew he didn't know when is the right time.

"Just wait here. get ready to spill." i said. He was about to protested."That's an order." i said now commanding.

"OK fine." he fake whinnied.

I walked out not showing any expression. "Ok Jen in alpha mode." i announced. "Ok Hailey, Kevin needs to talk to you." i said, or demended more. "But first, Hailey you got to swear to me you have to listen the what he says all the way." i said. SHe frowned. "NO it's not a bad thing. " i asurred her.

"Ok but you have to swear you and i get to talk after this." she said and i noded. She then walked to the room is was in.

"What the hell?" Jonas asked.

"Um hold on. " i said. I then mind talk everyone about what happened with the story about Kevin and the girl. I also added info about her.

"Ok Jen how the hell do you know this?" James asked. All this time he was silent but now he wasn't, that sucks i thought to myself.

I looked at him, he was thinking, Who does she think she is? I can't believe Kevin told her. Yasmin is hot. She isn't reckless. She hot. Her ass and her.....

"Oh forget to tell ya'll i can read minds now." i added. James didn't finish the thought. "So don't think thoughts that you don't want me to hear. " i said looking at James. He rolled his eyes. Then Hailey came out exspressionless. I ran up to her. I pulled her to the room where they have been talking. "James out now. We need a girl talk." i demanded. He noded and walk out. "Savanna! Can you please come here?" i asked and she came. I knew she was curious.

"Spill." me and savanna both said at the same time.

"OK he told me the story. And blah blah blah. And he asked me how i felt about this. I asked, Do you still love her? He said no. And i said then i have to problem. I would break if you went back to her. But if you wan to then tell me. He said, i love you with all my heart. I would never want anyone in the world beside you. Your the only one i want. And all that good junk." she said all in the breathe.

I looked at her. And said, "You guys are so fuckin' cute." i said. "You better let me help you when you get married. Or I'll kill you." i said joking around.

"Fine. But i get to help during your's." she said back grinning. "You too Savanna. Both of you." she fixed herself.

"If i make it that far." i muttered.

"What do you mean?" Savanna.

"I really like Jonas alot. I don't know if I'll make it til the end of the year. Think about it I have to go save Yasmin. And a bunch more Were before they die. How do i know if Blake tries to kill me again? How do i know if maybe if i just go to him he'll leave everyone i know and love alone? What if maybe dying is the best choice is to die before millions die because of me?" i asked them tearing up now.

"You will not think that way." Savanna nearly growed. "You know I've always wanted a sister. And one day I'm going to be you half sister in law. Then we can go shopping. We can do everything and anything together. I won't be the only girl in the house beside my mom. I can do girl stuff. And we can invite Hailey to go and do things with us. you will most deffinatly not die and make everyone around you suffer. I wont let you do that. I'm postive fates put us in the place so we can make it. I know Blake will give up for sure. But if they do fight Jonas will never let you go. He'll dir after you that'll make Mike suffer even more that everyone eles." She panicked.

"Sorry. I panicked. I don't ever get something normal. Apparently happness isn't something i can keep for long." i admited. And we kust stared at each other and cried. Jonas, Kevin, and Mike must have felt something was wrong because they came in. Savanna walked out with Mike to 'talk' while Hailey and Kevin moved to the other room on the jet.

"Jen, babe, what's wrong?" he asked me.

"I don't know why." i answered. My wolf was mad that i didn't just jump into Jonas' arm telling him everything. My wolf. "Mate." my wolf said.

And apparently Jonas' wolf had to take over at the same time, "Love, are you ok?" Jonas' wolf asked.

"We're scared." she adimitted and wimpered.

"There's nothing to be afrad of. We're here for you. We will protect you until we can't breathe anymore." he promised us. And with that i fell alsleep in his arms.
