Gabe's POV:

"Gabe, I know how to walk."

"I know you do, Clemmy. But we don't want a beautiful girl like you to ruin your feet, now do we?"

"Um... Gabe, I'm wearing boots. My feet are fine, dork."

"Oh yeah. Well uh... We don't need you to ruin your boots is what I actually meant." I said as she rolled her eyes.

Once we got to the house, I put Clementine down then opened the door slowly. I didn't want to wake Javi and Kate --that's if they were asleep-- plus when Clem got here, Kate took AJ and most likely tucked him in bed.

Clementine's POV:

I followed Gabe into his house as he signaled for me to be silent.

As we were making our way up the stairs, I heard a voice and saw Gabe turn around gradually.

"Had fun making out?" Kate asked.

"W-what? We did no such thing! We just... Um... Uh... H-hugged. Yeah! We hugged, that's all." Gabe fibbed.

"No need to lie, Gabe. When me and Javi were walking back to the house to put AJ to bed, we caught you two smooching."

Both me and Gabe's faces flushed red, then he quickly pulled me up the stairs to his bedroom.

"Thanks for putting AJ to bed, Kate!"

"Anytime."

Gabe's POV:

When me and Clem got to my room, we both sat on my bed.

"So, Gabe?"

"Yeah?"

"where am I supposed to sleep?"

"In here... With me."

"O-oh. O-okay." She said awkwardly. "Before we go to sleep, I'd like to go tell goofball goodnight."

"Y-yeah. That's fine."

Clementine nodded then walked out of my room.

A few moments later she appeared in the room again.

"Hey, dork." She said with the glowing smile of hers.

"Hola hermosa." I replied as she lied down next to me.

Clementine looked at me confused.

"Could you teach me Spanish?"

"S-sure. Just not right at the moment."

Just as the first bite of cold wind creeps through the cracked window, Clem's hand moves around my middle, warm and soft. In seconds her body is moulded to my own, sharing her body heat as easily as she shares her heart. I could never let another close to me like this, but she's so different. I've never known a person to always have the right motivations, even when she's wrong. There's a purity to her, naivety perhaps, but she's the only flower in the meadow for my eyes.

"Gabe, your cuddles are the only antidote I have to this world. Leave me and you take the best part of me with you. Without you, I'm not me anymore, I'm a broken shell of someone who could have loved you forever. So wrap me in your arms and never let go, keep me safe and warm. In return I'll never let go of you, I'll love you, defend you, keep you safe. If in all this cold universe there is only you I can love, it is enough. You are the spark to my flame, then one who keeps me burning when logic decries my light should have been extinguished long ago."

"I'll never leave you, Clementine." I said kissing her tenderly on her forehead. "Te quiero, buenas noches mi amor."

"You really need to teach me Spanish."

"Maybe tomorrow, how does that sound?"

"Sounds great." Clementine said pecking me on the lips then turning over on her other side. "Night, dork."
