Clementine's POV:

I woke up to the noise of an explosion.

I didn't think much of it, so I just stayed in bed snuggled up against Gabe. Until Javi came rushing in yelling at the top of his lungs, my mind came dashing back to reality.

"Clem! Gabe!"

"Huh?" I said as I sat up straight.

"What's going on, Javi?" Gabe tiredly asked rubbing his eyes.

"Richmond is under attack by some group, I'll explain the rest later... In the truck, but for now, I need you two to quickly pack up some supplies then meet me and Kate downstairs."

Me and Gabe nodded then began packing.

Once we were done, we darted down the stairs towards the door where Javi and Kate awaited us.

"Cwem!" AJ excitedly said as he stretched out his arms for me to hold him.

"Here, Clem." Kate said handing me over AJ.

"Come here you goofy brat." I said with a small giggle.

"Well, we ready or what?"

"I'm ready whenever you are." I replied.

"Ready." Gabe added.

"Same here." Kate said with a soft smile.

Javi nodded then briskly opened up the door, we all made a break for the truck.

As we drove out of Richmond, I looked out of the truck's window. All you'd see was fire, it was like a living hell, you could hear the horrid screams of the suffering people. And the walls had massive holes in them that allowed walkers to enter the place.

"Javi?"

"Yes, Clem?"

"What exactly happened back there?"

"Well me and Kate don't know much, but you see, someone in our group got in touch with that group and decided it'd be a genius idea to give them our fucking supplies. Eventually we ran out an-"

"So that's why our supplies went missing." I said cutting Javi off.

"Yup. But anyways, it caused the group to get pissed off, and they attacked Richmond with bombs and shit like that."

I just nodded and stared out the window. All you could see was road, sky and woods.

"So now where are we going?" Gabe asked.

"I don't have a clue, buddy. I guess wherever looks safe."

"Oh..."

Time Skip~

An hour later we came across a small cottage that was well hidden in the middle of the woods.

"This place looks reliable." Javi said.

"It may look reliable, Javi. But don't get your hopes too high, we haven't checked the inside of this place yet." Kate had stated.

"No, I know."

"Okay kiddos, nap time is over. So wake up!" Kate said as she shook me and Gabe's shoulders.

"Can I have just a few more minutes?" Gabe begged.

"Will you accept a no, Gabe?" Javi asked.

"No."

"There is your answer, buddy."

"Wait, what?"

"You just said no."
