Ziah's POV:
~the next day~
Another day,another dollar..
I think to myself as I try to not purposely cause a scene in the main office.
Another hectic & busy day.
I can't wait for summer break.
Zoe walks into my office & must've noticed how frustrated I looked.
She sighed & pulls a chair out.
She sits on it & extends her arms out to me.
I shake my head & continue scribbling down something on some stupid paperwork..
That the boss threw on me last minute..I was suppose to leave early today.
Instead I'm still here.
"Go home...I'll take care of the rest of paperwork." She says & tries to grab the pen out of my hand
Knowing Zoe for such a long time..I knew she wouldn't give up.
So I gave in.
"Fine." I say finally letting her get her way & she grabs the pen.
"Zi..you've put so much on your shoulders..you shouldn't do such a thing. You have a kid now." Zoe says & I glare over at her
"You think I wanted this?" I ask her a bit upset with furrowed eyebrows
"Relax..I didn't mean to upset you. I mean you should think of working at home instead" she says
"Or?" I ask her
"Resign. I'm saying this as your friend not a co-worker" she says simply
I stand up from my chair
"Zoe baby..if I wanted to resign I would've left a year ago." I say & walk around my desk
She grabs the paperwork I was working with & places it back in the file drawers
"Are you crazy?" I say nearly screaming
"No. you need relax time..your going home now. I'm leaving with you also" she says & grabs my arm
I groan & she sighs us out of the building..
We get in her car & I look over at her
"Your a good friend Zoe..your crazy..but your a good friend." I say
She giggles
"I'm a good type of crazy honey" she says & starts up her car
She pulls out a blunt from the glove compartment & I look at her wide eyed.
I never seen her smoke weed before..she doesn't like cigarettes..
Which is far more worse than weed in my opinion.
I didn't know she even liked weed.
She pulls out a pink lighter from her bag
"Um..do you do this regularly?" I ask her
As I'm pointing at the blunt as if it's a vicious dog about to attack me.
Carefully & not so close to it.
"Only on the weekend. No pee test I have to worry about." She says & lights up the blunt
"It's not the weekend tho." I say raising a eyebrow
"Yes it is..it's Thursday & our days off starts Friday." She says & I shake my head in disbelief
I grab my phone & turn it on.
I check the time & date.
4:30pm Thursday
My eyes get wide once again..
How could I not realize it's the weekend..
I've been so wrapped up in work..to not even realize that the days have passed.
"We're going away for sure this weekend. You need to have some fun" Zoe says & exhales the smoke
"Fun? Dear lord..I just realized it's nearly the weekend & you decide to party?! Really Zoe..we're getting older..we need to start slowing down." I say gripping my head
"Here..smoke this." She says & hands over the blunt
"No." I say crossing my arms
"Fine.." she says & smokes more of it
My phone rings & I answer it quickly
I hear Zoe mumble "Damn" as soon as I did it.
"Hello?" I say
"Hi babe your first ever weekend off starts tonight..where to go?" Nate asks me
"Idk yet..I was planning to rest. I'm so tired from work" I say & Zoe grabs my phone
She places it on speakerphone & I try to silently signal her to stop
"You know I can put you to sleep right...anyway I can't wait till your home & I can kiss every inch of your body." He says & Zoe yells on the phone
"DAMNNNNN" & the phone goes silent for a minute.
I take it off speaker & I get red in embarrassment as Zoe makes jokes about me & Nate
Not harmful ones..just playful ones.
But it's embarrassing she heard a private thing he said..
"I'm sorry babe..Zoe grabbed ahold of the phone..I tried to make her stop" I say
"Please get home tho..I meant what I said." He says & I laugh
"Your not fazed by the fact she heard you talking like that?" I ask him
"It was only a matter of time.." he says & I gasp
"That's it..you don't get no "loving" tonight.." I say & Zoe starts laughing hysterically
"I know what that "loving" means Zi stop trying to hide it" she says & I blush even more
"I gotta go..see you at home" I say & then he quickly talks as if he's in a rush
"Please tell your kidding about that last part" he says & I giggle
"Maybe..maybe not" I say
"Damnit you tease-" I hang up before he could say anything else & Zoe stares at me smiling from ear to ear

~after a while~
We're still driving around & we're starting to get bored.
By the fact there's no music playing at the moment..
It's because our music got played so much on the way driving..now there's nothing to listen to.
"Hey let's listen to the radio.." she says
"What if it's the same songs we just listened to..the radio stations overplay songs" I say groaning & she still turns on the local radio station
"Good evening everybodyyyy it's currently 75 degrees & it's 7:30pm. To play on a wonderful day like this..let's play a new game we've been playing over here on Big Boy Radio. It's called Tunes. We look over loads of videos of our listeners singing & choose 10 lucky people to be picked for our game. We then broadcast on here. Their song or cover & you pick who will get a spotlight moment on the station. Here's one right now...her name is Alexia Skye. Her song is called Psycho"
The song plays & it actually sounds pretty good.
I start humming to the song
Before I know it..I'm dancing to it...
We end up parked at the front of my house
"I'll see you later right?" Zoe asks me & I nod
"Sure..maybe." I say
"No maybe's.." she says bluntly & I sigh
"Yes I'll see you" I say & she hugs me
"Yay! Girl time!!" She says & I hug her back even more tightly
I walk over to the front door & I knock on it
Nate opens it & stares at me intensely
I giggle
"Hi babe." I say
Zoe yells out
"Baby number two coming soon in a theater near you!"
I start laughing & Nate lifts me up on his shoulder
I squeal & he yells "goodbye & goodnight Zoe".
He slams the door close & carries me upstairs..
Boy oh boy..did we have fun that night...
