This makes no sense. I threw punches and kicks at the boxing bag in my personal training room at the very back of the warehouse. I kept my hood on covering my face, there is no way he could see me ignited.
FLASHBACK
Rain beat down on my face as I made my way out of the club. My ears still ringing from the blasting music. Grunting came from my left in the dark alleyway. I saw 3 guys and immediately ran towards the fight. There was a boy leaning against the wall for support, clearly drunk out of his mind. The other two men were fully ignited and throwing fists in every direction.
'Hey! Stop that man.' The boy slurred stumbling into the middle of the fight. Growls came from both of them. He peered into their eyes.
'Whoa dudes! No need to get agro on my ass.' He smirked looking back between the two. The male to his left sent a punch to his jaw. A loud crack echoed through the alley as contact was made. He clutched his jaw before attempting to fire back. He lunged but missed his target colliding with the brick wall, making him loose even more brain cells if that's even possible. I scoffed. Amateur. I leaned against the brick wall folding my arms across my chest. Watching the scene play out.
They were using him as a rag doll throwing him from side to side. Until one of them snapped. Red eyes ignited making the drunk guy freeze in fear. He walked towards him and then the other snapped leaving the guy with nowhere to go.
'Leave him alone fellas. You've had your fun.' I spoke up. Their heads snapped towards me red eyes flaring with even more aggression than before. They took menacing steps towards me but stopped in their tracks when they realised I wasn't scared of them. Confusion replaced the anger for a split second before they lunged at me tackling me to the ground. My head hit the ground hard making me groan. One held my arms down and the other taking my legs. I thrashed around trying to get loose without igniting but I had no such luck. 'Let me go before something bad happens.' I growled
'And why would we do that?' the one holding my arms smirked. I could feel the cool evening breeze hitting my skin through my torn shirt. Clearly my tattoo was showing now.
'Because you have no idea who you are dealing with.' I spat.
'Baby doll, it's YOU that has no idea who we really are.' The one holding my legs said with a dark hint in his blood red eyes. I started to heave (fake of course) and made sounds that I was struggling to breathe. After a minute of struggling, I let my body go limp and hung my head back hoping to distract them. When they set me down to check my pulse, I silently smirked to myself before taking a deep breath and igniting my eyes. The electricity ran through my blood making my skin grow hot. Before they could realise what was happening to them, I jumped up and scissor kicked the one holding my legs down and roundhouse the other. I walked over to the drunk guy who was shaking against the wall. I extinguished the fire in my eyes before talking to him.
'Hey are you ok?' I touched his shoulder but he flinched and cowered further back into the wall.
'Look, im not going to hurt you. You can look at me.' It was really dark but my eyes were fighting off the effect of my change so I could see him clearly. His blue eyes looked into my green ones, holding so much fear.
'Can you tell me your name?'
'Will Cronnan'
'Okay Will im going to need you to breathe deeply for me ok?' He nodded his head to the best of his ability and started to take in deep breaths.
'Good now can you –'I was yanked back and a cool metal blade was pressed against my throat.
'Baby doll, you don't wanna move.' I gripped his arm staying calm. Light hit my side illuminating my tattoo.
'Ah so we have the famous Viper eh? Nice to know im the one going to end you.' He sneered. Okay so maybe I have a bone to pick with these guys. Whoops.
One of the men came in front of me and started to remove my skirt. I gritted my teeth and balled my fists by my side.
'Go' I croaked motioning the best I could for Will to get out of here. He picked himself up and ran but collapsed after a few steps.
'Time for beddie byes Viper.' he let out a low growl. I hissed in pain and he started. I ignited my eyes and kicked him away from me. My throat opened even more as I tried to get out of his hold. I punched him and ran collecting Will as I passed, feeling an unfamiliar pair of eyes watching me the whole way back.
END OF FLASHBACK
I ran my hands along the scar across my neck that's usually hidden under my black choker. New anger flashed within me as I started to thrash the dummy we use for practice.
'Viper.' I turned slowly to face Heath.
'Young blood.' I smirked
'I thought I would find you here.'
'Can't say the same for you. What do you want?' I stated already irritated by his presence, fearing that if he stayed any longer he would figure out who I am.
'I need answers.'
'Depends on the question young blood.'
'Do you know Becca Harold?'
'Can't say I do.' It's me Heath. Of course I know her. He sighed before changing his mind.
'She needs protection and there's only so much I can do.'
I smirked. 'Well, what's in it for me?'
'Take the world back, one manic at a time.'
'Deal.' I walked passed him and ran home.
