I groaned turning over in my bed, reaching for the tissues. Elliot caught some kind of winter virus while he was out fighting and passed it on to me.

'Viper.' One of the ladies that works in the kitchen came into my room with soup and hot chocolate on a tray. She placed it on my bed so I could sit up and eat. I smiled weakly at her taking the spoon in my hand and started eating the soup. I closed my eyes and focused on the feeling of the warm liquid making its way down to my stomach.

'Thank you.' I croaked as she exited the room. I downed the rest of my soup and hot chocolate while watching the TV. The news came on and I started to choke on my hot chocolate. Heath and Kodi were giving a statement about the so call crash that killed me.

'New leads were found in the case of Becca's death. What have you got to say about this?' a reporter with blonde hair pulled up into a tight bun interrogated.

'Just leave her alone! Let her rest.' Kodi cried burying his head into Heaths shoulder.

'No comment.' Heath spoke and started to walk off toward the entrance to their house. I could tell he didn't believe anything they were saying but his eyes were still red from crying. I turned off the TV numb from the realisation of the pain that I had caused everyone at home.

I curled up into a ball and just laid there staring at the blank walls surrounding me.

'Viper?' A small voice came from the door. I groaned and the door opened. Alex walked in with a shy look on his face.

'Elliot wanted to give you this.' He handed me a thick looking envelope and black book. He then skipped out of my room closing the door behind him gently.

I picked up the envelope in my hands and tore it open. Inside was the key to the archives in the main warehouse for all Sarkans. I picked up the letter and read the messy handwriting on the page.

Keep yourself occupied.

I rolled my eyes and picked up the black diary. I opened to the first page and after reading the name immediately sat up straight in my bed. Somehow Elliot got a hold of Ryder's diary before he killed him.

So for the next few hours, I read through his diary. As I was reaching the last page something caught my eye in the text.

Ace thinks it's possible that he can kill the Karala Sarkans before anyone finds their location. He found their son last week. He plans to take him into captivity and make the Sarkans beg for mercy at his feet. He's got leverage on the boy too. He just lost his best friend in a car accident and he has a little brother on our side. Could be very useful.

Viper is no longer alive. Apparently she was taken hostage and killed by the dark army. It would make sense, if they can't have her, no one can. But, that can't be right. I can sense she is still alive. If she was dead then her precious little army would have given up already. They can't do anything without her, not even pretty boy Heath.

I hate that boy. I would give anything to see him begging for mercy at my feet. Good for nothing shit has ruined everything. I was supposed to marry Teliqua! ME! And now he ruined it for me. Well he's got another thing coming.

I turned the next page to find sketches of Heaths dead body sprawled all over the pages, each image shows his death in completely new ways to the next. Rage started to cloud my eyes. I jumped out of bed and stormed down to Elliot.

'Did you know about this?' I shoved the diary at him. He looked at me completely confused but soon after another emotion I couldn't quite read replaced it.
